Forgive if this is a honda, but what do you think is the best intro in music?

To me, it's California Girls by the Beach Boys. Brian just nails it. So sublime, and yet so majestic. Among his best work...and to me, that's saying something.

Always been partial to Israel K's brief intro to Somewhere over the Rainbow. So basic but fits the song mood. I saw him once by total happenstance. The intro was much longer live. But this is the only one I could find on youtube.

Edit: The funk riff during Diana Ross's "I'm Coming Out" is pretty memorable.

The funk riff of that song, before Mo Money, Mo Problems is a true intro.

Honorable Mention:

Baba O'Riley - probably the most evocative opening of all time cuz it was just so fresh when it came out, going from the synth loop into guitar rock. Told this before in longer form, but i was a hippie runaway when this came out and i must have heard that synth come out of 10,000 cars as i hitched from town2town. I remember, if the synth went on from the time they pulled over til i got to the car, i'd know they had FM on instead of AM so prolly had some herb to share. Kul binns -
