It's crazy how the country can vary by 20 years county by county.   20 years over the course of a human lifespan is an amazing difference.

And an example of something really sad, check out Maryland.  Mainly high across the board on the lifespan by county.  Except for the one area of red, guess where that is.

Turns out the casinos really didn't benefit the Mississippi Delta.  Its just an hour or two up the road from me and its like driving thru another country.  Very depressing to be there.

The strongest demographic/regional correlations and a significantly lower lifespan are as follows:

• Counties in Appalachia, white majority with an ongoing opioid abuse epidemic and high unemployment.
  
• Counties with black majorities, primarily in the South.
  
• Counties containing Indian reservations in the Midwest and the West.
