The Seth Rich Conspiracy Theory Thread (1 Viewer)

There has been such pollution in the public airwaves on conservative media outlets that it's as if we occupy two different worlds.

Time after time the conservative viewpoints have been shown to be erroneous, fabricated, conspiracy theories with pizzagate, seth rich, deep state, Q, etc.  Yet, all the "fake news" attention goes towards outlets in the MSM that are on the whole, very reliable.

And the conservative empire right now is headed by a guy who lies more than any president in history - Donald Trump.  Yet he's treated by conservatives as someone who is always being unfairly maligned, that he alone is standing up in Washington to corruption...there's just no honest reflection going on with this group of folks who buy into these conspiracy theories.

You guys are drinking from polluted information streams, and despite the many illnesses you're coming down with, you don't seem interested in stopping.

Even folks who said the Russia investigation was all fake news have not re-evaluated their views based on the Mueller report, which stated that there was a lot of unethical behavior between the Trump campaign and Russia, obstruction of justice by Trump to prevent investigators from learning the truth, and tons of misinformation/lies about those involved in the investigation.

It's a big deal to me when something I believed and advocated for turns out to not be true.  It causes me to take time and personally reflect on how I went astray.  It's incredibly enlightening and often times I end up better equipped for the future when I understand where I went wrong.  Perhaps I'm less likely to trust a sole source, perhaps I'm less likely to trust a media outlet, perhaps I'm slower to rush to conclusions, perhaps I require more independent bits of information confirming a theory, perhaps I require higher levels of evidence to inform my views...but reflection is incredibly useful when you've been wrong.

Folks who advocate these types of things, who find that they're drinking from a polluted stream, need to take a moment for self-reflection.  And yes, i'm sure this comment will be pointed back at me for advocating the "russia conspiracy theory", despite almost all of it bearing out in the end (falling short of level of evidence needed for criminal prosecution but still incredibly outside of what we should expect from our political leaders).

Great great post. I feel exactly the way you do.

Our society is currently plagued by selfishness (who cares, my 401k looks great), distrust in the large institutions that built this country (federal government, academia, mainstream media) and a belief that a few hours of YouTube videos and blog posts makes one an expert on topics over those that study, teach or report on the topics professionally. I don’t know what the genesis of this arrogant and ignorant attitude is but it has been a massive negative for our county.

Yes, shame on the selfish smart folks who are happy about a ripping economy, record low unemployment, booming stock market, increasing wage growth, increasing GDP growth.  Us selfish folks are trying to keep a great thing going and avoid the left's dramatic socialism shift and the crap it always brings.

That’s not fully addressing my post, the economy being good in isolation of any other analysis is of course good. However, using a good economy to try to dismiss other issues is problematic.

Fair enough, for a lot of folks like myself a good economy is the most important as it helps the most people.

Homelessness is way worse than it was under Obama.  Or any other president. What has trump done to help these people under this booming economy?

Probably worthwhile remembering to tie in the subject matter here, the slandering of a tragically murdered young man.

- eta - This seems relevant.

We still have some serious long term economic issues that we aren’t really addressing though. I would like to see attempts to fix those. Not everything can be addressed at once but we seem to continue to pass the buck on them.

No.  It’s more concentrated in particular states now, but homelessness has been going down since the Great Recession.  It’s not always easy to measure, but it’s certainly not “way worse”.

Yep, for all the deflections being posted by conservatives in this thread, let's keep it about Seth Rich - and the massive apology he and his family are owed

It certainly seems way worse when I try to navigate through downtown Portland or Seattle.  People can't afford rent in these cities, so they are just camping anywhere they damn well please and it's a way worse problem than it was just a few years ago.  I'm sure you have seen the problem first hand in San Francisco.  It's bad, man.  I don't remember it being that bad not so long ago.  I worked downtown Portland for 8 years in the 2000s...it wasn't even remotely close to what it is right now.

It’s awful.  A few years ago I would have thought that the concentration of homelessness in cities like SF, LA, Seattle, etc. would make them easier to help.  Apparently, that’s not the case at all.

I’m honestly ashamed and shocked at my neighbors, many of them significantly more liberal than me.  They will fight tooth and nail against any and all housing density using the guise of traffic or environmentalism or not supporting evil developers.  It’s shocking.  The blame falls on the big cities, but it’s not entirely their fault.  It’s largely the suburbs that refuse to properly address growth and the fallout simply gets pushed into the big cities.

Maybe take it to the homelessness thread?

When a guy who has no enemies is gunned down from behind at 4 am by 2 people trailing him, and is not robbed, it's not a random murder fellas.

does anyone have a better theory here?

I don't want to crap on your friend, but Seth didn't necessarily need to be that technically savy to let the leak happen.  He could have simply clicked a link intentionally.  That's how they got Podesta.  Or he could have had a flash drive.

Also, pretty cool for you to say we have gone off the deep end posting a story on Fox, and has been trending on Twitter.  Do you guys think we just make this stuff up?

Also, I see you are taking shots at Assange due to rape allegations.  Do you have proof that Assange raped anyone?  We know for a fact there have been bogus claims fabricated about Assange by HRC associates, so how do we know these allegations are true.  Nobody seemed to care about Assanges rape allegations when he was leaking the Chelsea Manning material.

There hadn't been a murder in his upscale DC neighborhood in 6 years.  Despite, the DNC trying to tie his murder to an "uptick in gun violence in the DC area" around the time he was killed.

I'm not sure where I read it this morning.  It wasn't a lie, I saw it on Twitter.  Here is person on Twitter posting similar. Check out @sparks1017's Tweet: https://twitter.com/sparks1017/status/864503919929634816?s=09

So good try calling me a liar.  Quez pwns Tobias once again because Tobias Fluke is my son & has been since the election.

I'm flattered at how influential you think I am amongst the 50-100 regular posters here that I might make an impression on.  This is a huge story, and Sean Hannity has been talking about it his entire show basically.  Despite being accused by you and others of making stuff up, I don't just pull thish out of nowhere.  It's not like this is coming from some WordPress site, or 4chan.  It's kind of a popular story right now.  But go ahead and continue to shoot the messenger.  If you have such a problem with me, I have posted pictures of me and my so  here.  I'm not hard to find.

Ellen Ratner seem reputable. I've never heard of her before this.
She might be but her part of the story is that Assange told her it was Rich. Assange is against giving up his sources but he would tell someone who is frequently on Fox News? Sounds more like information that he was trying to put out there.

Well now...

Read page 13 of the court filing.
Some extremely large if true information here.  Definitely comports with the general idea of Brennan and McCabe being sewer rats.  Also would explain why the SCO refused to interview Assange, incredibly.   The stuff about Ellen Ratner having communications with Assange seems credible enough, but it's hard to believe McCabe was Hersh's source.  Will be interesting to see Ratner's response.

The widow of his former legal counsel in the US... the disclosure of a source that was already dead...

Whoa.  Slow down there.

His repeated use of the phrase "Russian Collusion Hoax" certainly makes him seem like a reliable source of information.
After googling the author and reading about a dozen posts on his twitter feed I think I’ve seen enough of this guy.

I'd feel a hell of a lot better about this information if it was echoed somewhere besides lawflog or other extreme right wing blogs.  I can't imagine the MSM sitting on something this big, even if it does make them look stupid.

Hell, Fox News isn't even reporting on this, and the story involves one of their own and has been up at lawflog for almost 24 hours now.  Does anyone really think Fox would sit on this if there was even a glimmer of truth?

Good point.  I'd like to think everyone is in fact check mode at the moment although this seems like an easy thing to confirm/deny.  I googled Ellen Ratner news and only got the lawflog hit.  Probably not a good sign.
