Inaugural Draft
Inaugural Draft Picks, future draft picks, and drafted players MAY BE TRADED before and during the Inaugural Draft. However the trades MUST have no more than six (6) draft picks and/or players per team. Trades involving more than 6 picks or players per side will be automatically rejected by the commissioner.
Future draft picks, and drafted players MAY BE TRADED after the Inaugural Draft. However the trades MUST have no more than eight (8) draft picks and/or players per team. Trades involving more than 8 picks or players per side will be automatically rejected by the commissioner.
Roster limit will be increased to 65 players after the Inaugural Draft, and will be in effect until August 29th @ 10:00am EST, or as soon as the draft is over. Whichever comes first.
The Inaugural Drafts is a serpentine (snake) style draft with 3rd Round Reversal (3RR). 3RR drafts help balance the talent in larger leagues by making the first picks in the draft slightly less valuable.
There are 60 rounds in the Inaugural Draft
Round 1: 1-32
Round 2: 32-1
Round 3: 32-1
Round 4: 1-32
Round 5: 32-1
Round 6: 1-32, etc…
Each conference’s draft order will be determined randomly, and a randomizer determines if the AFC or NFC picks first in the inaugural draft
The two draft order lists will be merged with the winner of the AFC/NFC taking Round 1, Pick 1 (1.01), the loser taking (1.02) and so on until the order of all 32 teams is determined. This ensures that no conference or an individual team is at any disadvantage in the inaugural draft.

Team owners are required to have an internet connection to submit their draft picks
Team owners may pre-draft players. The league drafting software allows for the submission of a list of draft picks prior to a team’s turn to pick. The software automatically selects the highest rated player on the submitted list when it is that team’s turn to pick. Pre-drafting is encouraged as a backup plan in case of technical difficulties and to reduce the time it takes to draft.
The draft consists of 60 rounds. Veterans and Rookies are available in the Inaugural Draft. The Veteran Roster size may not exceed 65 players during the draft. If you have acquired extra picks via trade, and you are at 65 players before the end of the draft, you must either demote players to the Taxi Squad and/or IR, or trade your extra draft picks to another team (if you do not have available Taxi Squad or IR spots). If you are unable to demote or trade your picks the remaining picks will be skipped by the commissioner.
The draft timer is 4 hours (paused from 12 AM to 10 AM EST)
If the timer expires the pick will be made from the owner’s pre-draft list. If there is no pre-draft selection made the pick will be skipped. If the pick is skipped the next owner may make a selection. The same as it works during the NFL Draft.
When the team with a skipped pick is ready to draft they need to email a list of 2-3 “available” players currently on the draft board, to commissioner@versusff.com and put the league AND team name in the subject line, along with “Skipped Pick” or provide the same information via a new message board post on the league site.
The draft timer is shortened to 3 hours from rounds 11-30, 2 hours from rounds 31-50, and 1 hour in rounds 51-60 If your time limit expires in rounds 1-60 you will be put on a warning. If there is a second instance during rounds 1-60 draft where your time limit expires without having made a selection, the commissioner will place your team on auto-draft. Once the owner returns, he must notify the commissioner to remove the auto-draft feature. Timing out more than twice is unacceptable and not fair to your league mates. Once a team times out three times they will be put on a 1 hour timer for the rest of the draft.
At his discretion the commissioner may pause the draft timer due to technical difficulties
At his discretion the commissioner may undo and/or correct draft picks if an owner error has been made. If the error can reasonably be corrected without impacting the draft substantially it may be corrected by the commissioner"
