Jacksonville at Houston (1 Viewer)

Bortles comes out forgetting he's Blake Bortles on his first three throws and marches them down the field, only to remember he's Blake Bortles. Field goal, Jags 3-0.

Fournette looks strong, but without Robinson, the Texans are crowding the line.

Three and out in the second Jags' series. Texans' first series was uneventful and Savage attempted a long pass to Hopkins that was broken up by Bouye.

Savage getting absolutely zero time to throw the ball. He's targeted Hopkins 3 times on this drive but forcing each of those throws and Hopkins is blanketed by Ramsey and Bouye so far.

Fournette with back to back first downs. Running strong and Texans' safeties already looking like they want none of tackling him at full speed.

End of 1 and Houston still hasn't woken up yet. Shaky OL play and the defense can't get off the field yet. Jags will open the 2nd quarter with goal to go.

Boo birds out in Houston. Offense is doing nothing though it's not all Savage's fault as the OL has been bad.

Calais Campbell is all over the Texans' OL. He's got 2.5 sacks in the first half. Third 3 and out in four possessions for the Texans' offense.

Savage sack/fumbles. Texans' offense is missing so many weapons and is still without Duane Brown and it shows. Texans doing nothing at all so far.

Savage is terrible, but Hou O'line is Swiss cheese. RT has let guys go unblocked at least twice, LT been beat multiple times.

Jags finally moving down the field but mostly due to Hou Defense making stupid penalties bailing them out.

Both Texans' TEs injured. Griffin being evaluated for concussion and CJ looks like he fell on the ball.

Savage looks to have thrown an incomplete pass, Jags recover and return for TD. Review forthcoming, but fans all over the Texans.

Texans moving the ball in 2 minute, mainly due to Aj Bouye constantly mugging Hopkins.

As I type this Savage goes down again

Calais Campbell with the franchise record of sacks in a game in the first half: 3.5 already.

Savage fumbles and Jacksonville returns it for a TD.

That is a hell of a claim, they've played some awful football over the years.

Yet, I can't disagree.
Hoyer's interception-laden playoff performance may still win, but that was at least against a playoff teams. This is against a team who picked 4th and has Blake Bortles at the helm. The Texans have 52 total yards at the half. Ugh.

This what it looks like when you have the synergy of a bad o-line and a QB who does not make quick decisions.

I do not think Brown gets a new contract from this. Bet they sign a street guy though instead.

Houston on the road to Cincinnati for a Thursday night game in week 2.

For those going with defense by committee, I don't think it gets much better... On paper, anyway.

All spring and summer, and they decide Savage is the guy.  Two quarters later, they change their mind.  That's embarrassing.

Watson bailed out an a less than weak roughing call and now bailed out on a horrific pass. His only shot is running with the ball the way this OL blows. Statue Savage had no chance.
