Going to Vegas in a few weeks and can't believe how expensive VGK tickets are.  Like $140 for a bad seat.

I know my best friend, well the guy that was best man at my wedding.  Well his neighbor will be working the board while you are there.  My buddy will too.

Also, I think I've told this story here before. But the last time I was in Vegas was in '08, and when you walk up to the window at the largest sportsbook in town and the guy on the other side turns around to someone and says, "Hey, there's someone here who wants to bet college hockey!" ... you might have a problem. :bag:

I don't know what that guy does but he does it at every major place

But just once.  He travels.  Did nfl draft this year, did cowboys when that opened

I am sick if locals asking who should have the C.

It should be Faulk, they didn't have one last year, and people local radio want williams, to have it.  He doesn't want it!

He won a cup here but new to this team.

Anybody have an opinion as to how the 'Guins will work their goalies tonight and tomorrow?  Niemi tonight against the Blues at home and Murray away against the Hawks tomorrow?  Or something else?

Does anyone expect Joel Eriksson Ek to make any kind of significant fantasy contribution this year in MN?  He's made the team and it appears he will center the third line and be on the second PP unit.

I don't.  too many mouths to feed there now and I don't see him being a high end scorer long term either.  he'll be used more as a checking/bottom 6 guy this year IMO.

that was my thought as well. assume he'll be used similar to the way they used Hanzal after the deadline last year. he put up 12 points in 20 regular season games and 1pt in 5 playoff games, so 13/25 = 46pt in 82 game season pace. that's not bad, but probably not likely to move the needle for fantasy owners.

Longest win streaks in season openers:

Active Streaks:

7 - 2010-16 San Jose Sharks
4 - 2013-16 Winnipeg Jets

NHL History:

9 - 1978-86 St. Louis Blues, 1953-61 Montreal Canadiens
8 - 1981-88 Quebec Nordiques, 1947-54 Detroit Red Wings, 1987-94 Boston Bruins

I have both Mason and Jones going tonight in DFH.

Just venting a little right now. This scaled ticket price thing is absolute garbage. Why is an October game vs the Sharks $52 a ticket and a game in late March vs the Sabres $113 a ticket. Do the Rangers plan on paying some of Eichels new contract.

I picked the games before looking at the prices so nothing I can do now. Just seems absurd. $137 per ticket vs the Islanders and $63 per ticket for Dallas

Damn you stub hub. If not for you, this would not have happened

One of my co-workers was looking at Bruins tix on the team site a couple of weeks ago and some seats two rows behind mine popped up. Can't remember which game but the price was well over $200. Face on my season tix averages to $99/game.

Dynamic pricing.  It's all the rage now.

Sabres have done this for many years. Rangers just started?

Didn't really make sense to charge the same price for a Saturday night vs Toronto as a Tuesday night vs Columbus.

Rangers vs Sharks in October is a Monday night game. Will compete with MNF and playoff baseball I assume.

Rangers vs Sabres in March is a Saturday night game.

Not sure it matters much in a place like NYC, but the day of the week likely makes a big difference, and I assume the Sabres are a slightly more interesting matchup with fans that will drive up demand. Plus, I think games later in the season tend to have higher interest.

46 is high.  I'd be pleasantly surprised if he topped 30.  I think he'll be sent down at least once as well.
