IR Return tracking thread (1 Viewer)

Feel free to add players and I'll put them on the list.  Please make sure you have the date they went on IR.  List is accurate as of 10/24.

A player put on IR before the dates will be eligible to return for the week listed in the column.  I'm not entirely sure how they handle timing or when the weeks officially start/end.  For example Eric Berry was placed on IR on Friday, 9/8.  Eight weeks from that date would be 11/3, so can he return for the week for the week 9 game, since that's 8 weeks later?  He would only miss 7 games if so due to the days the games fall.  Or does the fact his game was played on Thursday mean he starts on IR as of week 2, so he'll miss 8 full NFL weeks?  It's only going to matter a couple of times, when the return week has the player's game on a later day than when he went on IR.  I know Berry's not going to return based on the nature of his injury, but I'm curious how the eligibility is defined.

Hodges was IR-waived by MIN, but was picked up by CAR. And, as far as I can tell, he is on the practice squad, but not I.R.

Is my understanding of this process wrong tho?

Nope, I just grabbed a list of all IR transactions and ran them through a parser to pull them out.  No data scrubbing done.  Anyone waived from IR will still be on this list, but I'll remove them as people identify them.

As far as I know, Butt is on the PUP list, not the IR. Thus, your list has it right, imo.

Originally reported he was going to the PUP, next day it was corrected. Same deal, 6 weeks before he can be active. But not sure if they have the same 2 week window to move him to the roster?

According to the link, it's the same rule as PUP.  They have up to 6 more weeks to activate him, but once he starts practicing that drops to 21 days.   If they don't he stays on PUP for the rest of the year.

This story on Olsen is a week old but it gives his earliest return date as November 26 v. NYJ (Week 12, not 11 as listed above.) He’s on track with the rehab, putting in work in the weight room & in the pool, currently off crutches in a walking boot. Hopes to start practicing Nov. 6th.

If your league has IR spots seems like no brainer stash if he was dropped.

Coleman, Westbrook, White, Woodhead, Robinson, and maybe Coleman are the ones worth tracking, IMHO -- combination of being back early enough to actually make a difference in the fantasy season and may get some meaningful looks to make them startable.

I assume every David Johnson and Greg Olsen owners are holding on to them like grim death.

You would think, but I just realized the Olsen owner dropped him yesterday, prompting my Google search for news.

I’m def grabbing him & dropping Mack just to stick him on IR (have Davis & Coleman stashed already.) After waivers run I can free up the roster spot & add another RB lottery ticket to the bottom of my roster.

I'm interested in any Swoope progress. Haven't seen anything.

Pretty sure Cairo Santos was released by KC and has yet to sign with anyone. He met with Tampa two weeks ago for a physical. At that time Schefter was saying Santos was going to be out about two more weeks while dealing with an adductor sprain in his groin. It's possible he is back before week 12.

Box scores show Josh Ferguson with a carry last week for Indy (and 13 snaps). You can take him off the list, not that he is a big deal.

I have had him stashed on IR since he was dropped. I just realized Woodhead is available as well. Curious who you guys think is the better stash if you don't particularly need either position.

I have Olsen & Rodgers on IR. Hope to deal them before our trade deadline.
