Looking like Lackey or Q will be on the bumpRick Sutcliffe or Bill Hands will start Saturday, as they are the only two who Joe has not exhausted.
Call me crazy, but I don't mind Lackey pitching game 1. He had some quality starts in high pressure games to finish the season against St. Louis and Milwaukee.Looking like Lackey or Q will be on the bump
Guy was nails down the stretch.Call me crazy, but I don't mind Lackey pitching game 1. He had some quality starts in high pressure games to finish the season against St. Louis and Milwaukee.
Joe has talked more about Lackey and the 2002 World Series than Lackey ever has. It obviously left some kind of emotional imprint on Joe that preserves some weird man-crush.It's Q for game 1.
Time to question why Lackey's on this roster, again
Justin Wilson left off. What a waste of a prospect that trade was. It's Q for game 1.

It is large. Not only because he's not playing, but because it'll bring Joc Pederson into play ?.
No Seager feels large.
Cute just tied it up.What is it?
It's called Dave Roberts getting cute
Because the rule was made to stop contact. That was an in between play that wasn’t meant to be covered by the ruleThe announcers are saying the guy was safe after the over turn and the rule is bad.
The way I see it, the catcher blocked the plate.. Looked like a good over turn. Why is the rule bad?
Kind of like the replay of the pick off of Lobaton in the NLDS. Not what the rules were designed to coverBecause the rule was made to stop contact. That was an in between play that wasn’t meant to be covered by the rule
I wouldn't take that argument to the SCOTUSBecause the rule was made to stop contact. That was an in between play that wasn’t meant to be covered by the rule
Can't block the plate without the ball. I dont like it. Is what it is.Kind of like the replay of the pick off of Lobaton in the NLDS. Not what the rules were designed to cover
Yeah, I hated that pick off replay.. Definitely against the spirit of the rule.Kind of like the replay of the pick off of Lobaton in the NLDS. Not what the rules were designed to cover
I'm not really comfortable rooting for the Cubs but a man's gotta do...Can't block the plate without the ball. I dont like it. Is what it is.
I blame the Giants
Throw brought him into path. His leg was the issue. What choice did the runner have to make an effective move to the plate tho? He has to smash the catcher hard given how he was positioned
Right, I saw the leg, and so I kind of agreed with the over turn and the rule, but the announcers hated the rule/call. The runner's only choice was to crush the catcher if he wanted to score though. Seems like the rule is designed to keep the catcher from being blind sided, which doesn't seem bad.Throw brought him into path. His leg was the issue.
Yeah. She's always thereIs that Mary Hart sitting behind home plate?
Yep. I have been fascinated by that group. They are playing musical chairs. Is that Mary Hart sitting behind home plate?
If he slid sraight to the plate feet first and wiped the catchers foot out of the way he'd have been safe imoWhat choice did the runner have to make an effective move to the plate tho? He has to smash the catcher hard given how he was positioned
