Franknbeans 1,845 Posted November 18, 2017 I hear there may be some windy conditions afoot. Please share if you know of any games that may be affected.
SaintsInDome2006 41,439 Posted November 18, 2017 Looks like high winds in NYG (talking 15-20 mph, not sure that's that bad...), cold in GB and CHI, maybe some flurries in CLE, might be wet in Seattle.

So pretty much every November/December weekend in these areas. Noted.
Corn Rocket 18 Posted November 18, 2017 Denver is going to be real nice tomorrow. Mid 60's light wind, sunny. No issues. Mountains got hammered with snow. Denver did not.

I'm currently starting T. Hill, S. Sheppard, and E. Engram. Could see a lot of short passes from both A. Smith/Eli to Sheppard/Hill out of the slot. Maybe Eli is a better "bad weather QB" vs. good weather QB? Lol.
kyoun1e 629 Posted November 18, 2017 Just watched a local video forecast for the NJ / NYC region. As of 12 pm EST. Weather man indicates wind gusts of 40-50 mph Sunday. "Howling" winds and potential for power outages. I'm getting my D. Parker ready just in case it's this bad and need to bench either Sheppard or Hill. Could see this as a run Hunt/Darkwa game. steelerfan1 288 Posted November 18, 2017 Would say this will wreak havock on Butker too.
The General 18,766 Posted November 18, 2017 I always outsmart myself when it comes to this stuff but this wind is bad news. Will be watching this tomorrow morn. Can put in Carr in over Alex Smith.

BigBlue_RI 147 Posted November 19, 2017 Great. I have Eli as a bye week fill in for Cam. Wondering if Fitzpatrick or Cutler is the way to go.

In addition to the strong winds, 32 degree temperatures with potential flurries are forecasted. This game already had the lowest Vegas total of the week, something that may lower even closer to game time due to the forecasted inclement weather. I would avoid almost all fantasy options in this game.<<
Da Man 9 Posted November 19, 2017 Is there anyone in the east Rutherford area that can provide an update?

davidwb 24 Posted November 19, 2017 winds 10-15 mph in Columbus right now -- about 2 hours SSW of Cleveland. The cold front came through last night, so the winds are unlikely to get worse as the front moves east.

kyoun1e 629 Posted November 19, 2017 From NYG local reporter on the field about 45 minutes ago: Jordan RaananESPN Staff Writer Brisk fall day. Weather.com says 17 mph winds. Nothing too outrageous right now that should greatly affect the game.

Yotes1 42 Posted November 19, 2017 2 hours before kickoff, Roth from RotoGrinders is reporting 32 MPH sustained winds with 46 MPH gust just 5 miles from Met Life.
The General 18,766 Posted November 19, 2017 Ugh. I’m going to sit Alex Smith and he’s going to have like 350 yards and 3 TDs

BobbyLayne 7,116 Posted November 19, 2017 It’s pretty windy today. The Chiefs are facing the Giants. You make the call. Personally I’m going with Alex Smith. My other option is Dak without Tyrun Smith.
Yotes1 42 Posted November 19, 2017 Anyone know exactly when Yahoo lineups lock? Is it at exactly 1 EST for early games, or is it at actual kickoff?

I think kickers will be ok 40 and in but they might not even attempt FGs in that kind of wind beyond that. Rolling with McManus
Yotes1 42 Posted November 19, 2017 I'm in full on overthink mode to the point of certainly being dead wrong. Probably should go full on Costanza.

Rolling with McManus Butker was somehow hitting 50 yarders in pregame warm-ups but yeah, I'd still sit him.

I don't doubt that it's possible, I just wonder how often, if at all, the coaches would even allow them to try. 4th and less than 7, I'd probably just go for it. I'm sure I'm overthinking it but I can live with him doing well. I can't live with the idea that he craps the bed and I had the ability to do something about it. Futz 434 Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) I just saw Rosa's extra point get blown 5 feet wide of being made. I'm feeling real comfy with my decision to bench Butker now. Holy moly. ETA: KC just skipped a 50 yard attempt on a 4th & 5 and successfully went for it. Edited November 19, 2017 by Futz

Probably the first time in 26 years of playing I’ve led the league in scoring for the week with a QB who scored negative points. Also, IME 95-99% of lineup changes after 12:45pm go badly. I had all the right reasons to bench Butker and they even played out in game and yet, he still outscores my 12:55p change out with McManus. I need a new fall hobby.
