interesting take on System of a Downs Chop Suey

If you are a fan of System--you should check out Vika's piano versions of their songs. She does a fantastic job with chop Suey, aerials, and toxicity. Also--her piano renditions of GnR's sweet child of mine and Hysteria by muse are pretty insane. She does an amazing job translating the guitar solos in both songs to the piano.

For Tool fans out there--if you haven't heard any of Adam Monroes piano renditions--you are missing out. Keep in mind that Monroe is a member of the band Ashes Divide that was started by Billy Howerdell of A Perfect Circle fame.  Obviously APC has ties to Maynard from Tool--so Adam Monroe is not some random amateur that is solid at the piano. Dude is a pro and it shows:

Another cover that I really like is Blue Monday by Orgy.

Pedro the Lion - Let Down

Radiohead's original is one of my favorite songs, but I've always loved Bazan's cover.  He does a few other good RH covers.

Having trouble listening to over half a minute of ilov's mix because maybe my browser won't support or something. Anyway, I'll try and figure it out, because the songs sound cool and the artists seem cool. A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall makes me misty whenever I hear it. Edie Brickell did a great job of that back in the late eighties/early nineties.

Meanwhile, I dig Pedro the Lion's cover of Let Down. God, do I ever love Radiohead's album.

And I see you down there @Northern Voice, Kid A is awesome.
