Why did the Obama Administration start an investigation into the Trump Campaign (with zero proof of wrongdoing) long before the Election in November? Wanted to discredit so Crooked H would win. Unprecedented. Bigger than Watergate! Plus, Obama did NOTHING about Russian meddling.

The new Fake News narrative is that there is CHAOS in the White House. Wrong! People will always come & go, and I want strong dialogue before making a final decision. I still have some people that I want to change (always seeking perfection). There is no Chaos, only great Energy!

Federal Judge in Maryland has just ruled that “President Trump has the right to end DACA.” President Obama had 8 years to fix this problem, and didn’t. I am waiting for the Dems, they are running for the hills!

The real problem isn't chaos, it's massive corruption that is often pre-planned and effective. Chaos helps mask it though. Now I'll watch pundits fight the chaos strawman instead of analyzing the corruption.

Yes, if only there had been a framework in some kind of agreement worked out about this.  Maybe a multi-party international joint venture between North America and Asia.  A sort of "cross Pacific consortium" trade agreement that we could spearhead the talks on.

I don't know, maybe someone can come up with a better name.

Trump told to mute Twitter critics, not block them, by New York judge

A judge has advised US President Donald Trump to mute rather than block his Twitter critics after users of the service filed a lawsuit against him.

Seven people sued Mr Trump after he blocked them from seeing his tweets, arguing that it was unconstitutional.

But District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald suggested the president mute the accounts he does not want to see.

"Isn't the answer he just mutes the person he finds personally offensive?" she asked the court in New York.

"He can avoid hearing them by muting them," she added.

People on Twitter are unable to see or respond to tweets from accounts that block them.

But if Mr Trump muted an account, he would not see that user's tweets but the user could still see and respond to his.

The president is an avid user of the social media forum, and has more than 48 million followers on his @realDonaldTrump account which he uses to praise allies and lambast critics.

The hearing on Thursday came after a lawsuit was filed in July by the Knight First Amendment Institute, a free speech group at Columbia University.

The seven Twitter users involved in the legal action say their accounts were blocked by the president, or his aides, after they replied to his tweets with mocking or critical comments.

The complaint argues that by blocking these individuals, Mr Trump has barred them from joining the online conversation.

The government says the president can choose who he interacts with on Twitter.

Katie Fallow, an attorney representing the Twitter users, said the president had blocked people "simply because they criticise him".

She said this represented "viewpoint discrimination that violates the First Amendment", which guarantees free speech under the US constitution. [...]

But US Department of Justice attorney Michael Baer said that the president was free to decide who he interacted with.

"The president has an associational interest in deciding who he's going to spend his time with in that setting," he said.

Lawyers on both sides said they would consider muting as a possible solution to the lawsuit. [...]

I agree with this, basically it's a right to petition your government. The one thing I might think it might be a good reason to block is that Trump has the unique problem among presidents of retweeting extremists and fascist handles and his blockers could really be trying to protect him and the country by blocking them from his view, but LOL we know they're really not concerned about that.

Like almost all of Trump's trade deficit figures, this is false. The U.S. had a $69 billion trade deficit with Japan in 2017 counting only trade in goods. When services-trade data is added, it'll be billions lower.

If you were blocked you wouldn't be able to see it on Twitter not matter how many times it gets retweeted. I am not sure that if the Tweet has been reprinted elsewhere is that compelling an argument for something that may be unconstitutional (if indeed it is).

I never use twitter and I read everything he writes.

I don’t know if it’s a compelling argument or not; it just seems to me that it makes the entire discussion somewhat moot.

I doubt if there was a legal challenge that would carry much weight, although I don't know what would be an analogous 1st Amendment  free speech type of situation.

I don't think it turns on that. It's the other way around, the follower can't speak to Trump and cannot comment on his tweets  either directly or in retweets.

Wouldn't trying to change to popular vote basically be the old "bait and switch" to many states?

These protections to smaller states were necessary to get them to join.  The cost of doing business.

A good deal of these killers don't care or expect to live when they go on their shooting spree and they either turn the guns on themselves or they want to go out in a blaze of glory.  I doubt that many of them even consider whether or not their targets are in gun free zones.

School shooters typically have shot up...the school they went to.  It doesn’t seem to have a thing to do with it being a gun free zero me.  Just an NRA/GOP talking point.

"Highly trained expert teachers"

Highly trained expert teachers

Highly trained Highly trained by ... who?

Who designs the training. On what criteria? To what standards? No, don't just say, "the local police department" or something similar. 1/

This training would have to specially designed because you're talking about non-professionals with guns in a building full of panicked children AND those "specially trained people" will be very likely facing a CHILD with a gun who is killing other children. 2/

We don't train soldiers for that. We don't train cops for that. So we're going to need special training, including not just the mechanics and theory of combat arms, but the psychology of killing a CHILD in an active shooter situation. 3/

If you don't understand why this is a problem, then you're very likely unqualified to be in this conversation in the first place. It takes years of training to condition a soldier to kill another human being on command, let alone a child. 4/

When that killing occurs, it's usually in a warzone, alongside your squadmates, and while that engagement is very, very often chaotic, it can't be compared to the confusion and chaos of a building packed with screaming running children that you are supposed to be protecting. 5/

In a warzone, if your bullets hit a civilian, even a child, well, that's collateral damage. It happens. It can't NOT happen. That's war. And soldiers come apart from this. That's one of the many reasons VA waiting rooms are packed full of PTSD cases. 6/

A school? Full of American kids? You starting to see why you'd need some VERY, VERY specific training? Have you given any thought to the psychology of this situation? Like at all? The psychology of training to kill children? 7/
