**** official February shark pool "what I want my team to do" mock draft ****. Round 4 starts on page 16 (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
So who's up for a mock?

This one is all about having your team do what you want them to do. Make it realistic, but if you can find a trade partner (which isn't yourself) you can make it happen.

You're the Giants and want to trade Eli to Denver? If Denver accepts have at it. If you're the browns and want to trade the 1 and 4 for Nick Foles? Other than us making fun of you, have at it. (Okay, let's try to make it somewhat realistic)

It would be best to specify in the pick or trade whether you actually think the team will do it, but this really is about generating discussion about what would be best for each team.

We'll go as long as there's interest, let's try 3 rounds at the minimum.

We'll start either when full or when the first half of the draft is full and the browns owner pulls the trigger.

Feel free to take two teams, a primary on a fcfs basis and secondary which you'll get unless someone else chooses them as primary.

Browns-First pick is available. We plan to give a blank check to Cousins. Look out Pittburgh, Baltimore, and Cincy. The Dawg Pound is back!!

If you're the browns and want to trade the 1 and 4 for Nick Foles? Other than us making fun of you, have at it. (Okay, let's try to make it somewhat realistic).
Seems to me that projecting the Browns for a collosal screw-up that wastes practically their entire stock of draft capital is somewhat realistic, given their draft history...

I’d take the Lions but they’re already taken- contact me if there’s an open team later on that doesn’t have any fans or if someone is on the clock and holding things up.

I'll take Pittsburgh as long as you all are OK with the fact that there's a 75% chance I'll forget that I enlisted by the time pick 28 rolls around and you may need to PM me.  I'll also take a secondary team if you need to fill this up, I don't care who.

Since this is a "what I want my team to do" mock I will take the Patriots if someone provides me with a list of draft eligible punters and kickers.

@Snorkelson - do you want to pick a team or two?

I grabbed the bears (only because I think they take a somewhat local guy) but anyone can take that.

San Fran would be fun I think.

#49ers and Raiders order will be determined by coin flip
I think I should be listed for the Jets.

Evilgrin said he would take Pittsburgh and another team. I think we should each pickup 2-3 teams and roll that way.

The real value in this exercise will be the discussion that the picks generate. Spending time trying to come up with a "consensus" will be difficult and will still involve mostly the same 12-14 people who have already signed up.

We can always do another closer to the combine.

I'm good with that. But along the way if someone wants to grab a team have at it.

@JetMaxx feel free to pick or try to trade any time. Let's actually turn the clock on Monday.
I’m of the belief that the Browns will go hard after Cousins which would thereby enable them to maximize the value of 1.1. Are any of the QB needy teams in the top 6 interested in cherry picking their guy?

It's possible that someone will pony up if someone separates himself from the flock, but right now I don't think there's enough of a difference for anyone to pay much to move up. Or maybe I just haven't heard that a team really likes one guy.

Fwiw,  Darnold and Allen are my preferred QBs. But they're not far ahead of Rosen or Mayfield.

For the unclaimed teams, first to pick can be the gm.  But if someone wants to ask for opinions, that's cool too.

Agree on the first part. Someone will separate, odds are they already have but the teams are keeping it tight.

2nd part. I’m not a Darnold guy. Nor Mayfield. Too many ?’s. If I were to have to pick one it would be Rosen. Or trade back, get a haul and select the best character guy remaining.

Those QB needy teams are probably assuming they have Cousins also. ?
