The purpose of these polls is to get an idea of who the majority of voters prefer at a specific pick in a rookie draft. These drafts assume that all 2018 rookie players are available. For the 2QB poll there may be some variance in scoring. Some may be standard, others PPR. I think a lot of 2QB leagues may involve IDP as well so these differences are not accounted for here. Only looking at the offensive skill players in the two most common formats and also 2QB leagues, to get a sense of where the QB are valued relative to other positions, when there is actually scarcity at the QB position. The polls assume 12 teams and likely 24-26 roster spots as the most common format for dynasty. Short bench dynasty leagues should only care about the top 6-12 rookie players.

If a player isn't listed that you would vote for please vote other and then post the name of the player that you voted for so that player can be added to the next poll. Also please suggest players not listed that you would vote for soon, even if not on the particular poll that is active.

I will be using this list compiled by miqws that looks good for populating the poll.

Discussion welcome.Thanks for voting.

So obviously this is a RB heavy top end rookie class.  Is that because the RBs this year as that good (obviously Barkley is, I get that), or because the other positions are lacking?  I can't remember a rookie class ranking where the top 6 are all RBs in standard (and possibly 8 of the top 9 with this poll).

Lots of RBs perceived as good, and no standout WRs to break away from a pack has people thinking they can get servicable WRs late, and thus loading up on RBs.

And no QBs/TEs to even consider at this point (in standard)?  Most years there's at least one of them to start considering, right (OJ Howard, Engram, H Henry, Winston)?

I think QBs suffer from the exact same effect as the WRs, accentuated by less positional scarcity.  Fantasy owners arent differentiating the top 3-5 guys at the position, so they feel like they will be fine waiting at QB till late first or even second.

I expect this will change once landing spots are known...we'll see the QB in the best spot move up the ranks.  This might happen at WR too if one lands in a perceived "perfect spot" but I could as easily still see 3-4 WRs about even in fantasy drafts even after the NFL draft.

I think it is a bit of both.

Folks like Kiper and so on do not really think any of the WR have 1st round grades and several of the RB do.

Then you have two seasons in a row of WR performance declining, while 2017 had multiple RB make an impact right away.

I haven't watched the WRs at all yet so certainly possible that one of them stands out above the rest, and possible I suppose that one of them might be a tier one WR. I just do not know that yet. I am guessing not but I can't say without watching them first hand.

Its making it difficult for me to vote on these..

Not that I watch anywhere close to as much of these prospects as others do, but I don't think any WR should be a 1st round WR and 2 RB's (possibly 4), should be 1st round RB's.  Initially I had 1 WR as a tier one guy, but he was sort of default tier 1.  I have since moved him into my tier 2 with a group of 5 others, while 2 of those guys have jumped infront of my initial WR1.  I always use tier 1 as the first tier, but next year I'll need to rethink that since I probably shouldn't have had any WR as a "tier 1" guy, and just started at tier 2 since nobody was worthy of it.

I keep flip flopping on a few guys in this 8-12 range right now because of pro day's being incomplete for a few.  So these have been hard for me to vote on as well.

I think we are on the same page as far as trying to be careful about how high the WR should be ranked. I have talked a bit about how I regret ranking Coleman, Doctson and Treadwell as tier one WR in 2016. I think they should have been tier two guys, I was just too influenced by the 2014 draft and thought some WR should be tier one and those 3 were my best bets.

Lat year Corey Davis was my only tier one WR and I think what I did with last years class was better than the year before, as far as not overshooting the players potential.

Maybe I can finish watching some of these RB today and move on the WR soon.

It probably goes without saying, but I think landing spots will be huge.  Just think what would happen if we saw Gesicki to NO, Gallup to GB, Kirk to SF, etc.  Those guys would fly up the draft board in rookie drafts.
