The purpose of these polls is to get an idea of who the majority of voters prefer at a specific pick in a rookie draft. These drafts assume that all 2018 rookie players are available. For the 2QB poll there may be some variance in scoring. Some may be standard, others PPR. I think a lot of 2QB leagues may involve IDP as well so these differences are not accounted for here. Only looking at the offensive skill players in the two most common formats and also 2QB leagues, to get a sense of where the QB are valued relative to other positions, when there is actually scarcity at the QB position. For the TE premium poll this assumes the scoring format is PPR because that is what these leagues almost always are. The polls assume 12 teams and likely 24-26 roster spots as the most common format for dynasty. Short bench dynasty leagues should only care about the top 6-12 rookie players.

If a player isn't listed that you would vote for please vote other and then post the name of the player that you voted for so that player can be added to the next poll. Also please suggest players not listed that you would vote for soon, even if not on the particular poll that is active.

I am populating the polls based off of miqws list

Discussion welcome.Thanks for voting.

What do people think of Dallas Goedert winning pick 12 in the TE premium poll over some very good WR such as Calvin Ridley and Anthony Miller still available? Also all of the QB still being available and 1st round pick Hayden Hurst also still available.

I would love to hear some thoughts on that from some of the folks who voted for Goedert in the previous poll.

I also found it interesting that support for Josh Allen didn't increase after he almost won the poll at pick 11 in the 2 QB poll. What I am guessing happened there is people were split in their support of DJ Moore and Royce Freeman (as well as Allen) but then when Moore won that poll by tie breaker those voters must have shifted to Freeman who won pick 12 poll two to one over Allen.

i was surprised.  in my two 1.25 ppr te leagues he has gone pick 21 and 22

Goedert was my TE1 coming into the draft, but he's dropped to the second tier given the landing spot.  Can't see him getting the volume to compete in PPR formats with the likes of Miller or Ridley.  Very surprising.

I suspect a lot of poll voters see "TE premium" and overvalue TEs compared to what they'd actually pull the trigger on during a draft.

Hurst's slip is understandable.  His 1st round value was diminished with the selection of a perceived better pass catcher later.  Shades of a Howard/Brate split would have me avoiding both of them till the safer WR tier is exhausted.

Thats my view of this as well.

For a player to really provide a marginal advantage over others at 2 points per game would mean Goedert would need 30 more receptions than the WR to achieve that.

Unless Ertz is injured, I just done see how this is going to happen in the next 3 season.

If he gets 40 receptions at 1.5 per thats 60 points, which 60 receptions seems pretty achievable for Ridley or Miller, even as rookies. I think they have a better chance for more than that and more points than I see for Goedert

In my TE premium, TEs are going much later. Case in point - ME.  I need TEs in the worst way, and still I drafted Nyheim Hines with the 2.04; and, I selected Antonio Callaway and John Kelly with 3rd round picks.

TE Picks in 2018 draft:

2.05 Gesicki, Mike MIA TE
2.11 Goedert, Dallas PHI TE
2.13 Hurst, Hayden BAL TE
3.11 Thomas, Ian CAR TE
3.12 Andrews, Mark BAL TE
4.08 Schultz, Dalton DAL TE

ETA: New owner received incentive picks 1.13, 2.13, 3.13 and 4.13 to take ownership of a crappy roster. Essentially, Mark Andrews was the 4.02 pick in this 12-team league.
