I think it was a brain fart and he realized his mistake right away.  At least he was in the hand.  I hate it when guys who fold pre flop blurt out "can I have my cards back" or "why did I fold" after the flop comes out.  One time at my local casino I 4 bet pre flop with pocket aces and had one caller.  Flop was K-K-5 and some jackass at the table said "I can't believe I folded a king!".  I was pissed, but I wasn't sure if caller heard him so I didn't bring it up.  They guy beat me with Ace King, knowing I couldn't of had a King if he heard the guy.  Super bs

Right.  I actually think this was a genuine mistake on his part (not him whining, but him whining without realizing first position was still in the hand). 

A few years ago Phil Ivey mucked a one card flush for the winning hand. I remember thinking, "wow, even the pros make mistakes."

 
What an awful round that was. Stick card dead except for losing two close razz hands.  8k.  Time for a heater. 

 
What are the exact rules / etiquette on a player getting a count on someone else's stack that hasn't been pushed in?

Does the other player have to give them a count?   Will the dealer count if the player doesn't?  What if the player gives them an inaccurate count?

Just curious.

A player doesn’t have to say anything by rule. A dealer will tell you if you ask. I don’t think there is a rule if the player lies or miscounts.

The dealer is supposed to count and correct. That would be a big no-no if a player intentionally misrepresented his stack. In fact, you have to stack your chips with larger chips in front or on top.

 
Cynn also getting hit in the face with the deck, but clearly the better player.

They just mentioned that Miles was up late railing Shaun Deeb, WTF.

 
Glad Cynn won - I liked his style and other than Cada pulling off the improbable double he was the one I wanted to see most. 

I'm sure the people who want to see a guy be a poker ambassador was cheering Dyer losing.  Man he was boring.  Probably just trying to be reserved and focused but still.

It was a great watch - really good display of showing what goes into playing the game.

Embarrassing for poker. Though enduring past 7000+ foes is an estimable feat, easily the two worst heads-up players in WSOP history. More tells than a Swiss phone book, both of em, and the broadcast team fumbling over their avoidance of saying so was almost as shameful.

It is fairly shocking that with the amount of world class players on this site that none of taking home the Main Event yet

it's always gonna be a longshot, but a lot of it's the pro's own fault for lobbying for hedges & democratization (flattened pay structure, adding chips & the levels dont even seem to matter anymore). pay only the top 100 and tighten/heighten the blinds, things might change. all credit to the finalists, though - final-tabling is an incredible feat no matter what. but the heads-up was pure Thursday nite in Albuquerque poker
