I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with Marcia. She's been far too quiet and cut out of the action this season, and that was before she was disgruntled. She's always been a mystery they could reveal at any time.

Could she be behind Roman’s hotel confinement?

So Kendall is a killer.

When Kendall kissed Logan, I thought of Michael kissing Fredo.

They could end the series with this episode and it would be perfect. That said, I'm glad there's going to be a third season.

While I've been a big fan of the show and found it to be really entertaining, I never really thought of it as great.

Last night was ####### great.

So was Kendall in cahoots with Shiv?

I doubt that. I think the slap to the face was when his girl told him that Logan only loves him when he’s miserable.

I just wanted to see the woman Shiv was GOING to have sex with. Just for like, informational purposes. For not showing that, I give it 3 stars instead of 4.

Maybe you're right. But he at least conspired with Greg, so it wasn't a completely impulsive thing that he just did spur of the moment. But the idea of a head on a spike did come up pretty recently.

Maybe the investor that told Logan that they wanted his head knew it wouldn't go anywhere, and went around him? I dunno. Guess we'll find out!

Also, Karolina, hey.

They showed her, Tom asked and got confirmation frim Shiv out by the pool--it was the woman who looked at Greg's "benign fungus" I think

I think the whole threesome thing was just a way of Shiv mindscrogging Tom. There was no threesome set up, there was no mystery lady on the crew. She knew Tom wouldn't be able to go thru with it because he's too buttoned-down. But, if she holds out a threesome as one of the benefits of their open relationship, she gets to justify moving on with "gobbling the odd side d". Plus, she gets to mess with his head, a little.

There was a scene in season 1 where Greg told Kendall about the documents he absconded with, rather than shredding.  Kendall was keeping Gregg close in season 2, including setting him up in a sweet bachelor pad for seemingly for no reason.  This is all leading up to Kendall having the docs he referenced in his press conference, with Gregg standing there holding the folder.

So what gave Kendall the guts to just completely disregard the blackmail Logan has on him with the dead waiter? Just the idea that if Logan tries to go public his own role in the coverup is at risk of coming to light, or does he think the visit to the parents ended the threat somehow? I feel like I missed something.

He got out in front. Anything Logan does now looks retaliatory.

I don't think Logan would use it on him outside the family.

The thing about that accident that sticks with me is that the waiter grabbed the steering wheel and pulled the car off the bridge.  Other than the obvious problems with driving in an impaired condition, the accident was more the kid's fault than the driver.  Obviously, there are no witnesses other than Kendall, so he can say anything and it comes down to his credibility.  It would be a PR nightmare, and he may have some criminal liability for leaving the scene or something minor like that, but with good lawyers I don't think he would face jail time in the real world.  There's no way they could prove his drunken/drugged state at the time of the accident.  Of course this show can do anything it wants, but in the real world I'm not even sure how Logan would play that card if he wanted to.  He'd have to contact the local police where the accident took place and present the evidence he's been hiding, tell his story - probably through his cover-up guy.  In the end, he's probably got as big a problem with this thing as Kendall.

Loved the finale.  I too wonder if Shiv knew that Kendall would do that, or if they conspired a bit.

It's also possible that Logan knew, I guess.  His pride wouldn't want him getting ousted by a hostile takeover, so if this was indeed the only way around it, he could have been the blood sacrifice. Actually, now that I see it written, that doesn't work -- he clearly was working with Kendall for Kendall to take the hit -- But I do think that he was a little proud of Kendall.  They showed a SLIGHT smile come to Logan's lips at the very last shot.

The Shiv political stuff was my least favorite too, but I like it a little more after the payoff in this week's episode.  I think part of the reason I didn't like it is that it's too obvious that Gil is supposed to be Bernie Sanders. The other fictional characters seem to borrow from a variety of real life people and businesses- lots of Murdoch obviously, but also some Mercer family, some Disney, some Trump, etc.- so it's not at all distracting.  But with Gil it's too distracting.

Anyway this show continues to be incredibly entertaining IMO. It's probably never gonna be considered high art like The Sopranos or Mad Men or something, but it's just as binge-able. The hour flies by as quickly as any prestige drama I can remember and I always want more at the end. Also it's the first show I can remember to depict incredible wealth without veering into lifestyle porn. I have no desire to trade places with any of these people.

Without fail, whenever I see Gil I always assume he is played by this guy THIS GUY

We watched the first episode last night and both liked it. Considering that I've read that the first couple are slow, I guess it's a good sign.

I finally finished the last four episodes of S2 that I'd been neglecting for months.  The show has provided twenty hours of entertaining viewing in spite of almost zero progress on the actual subject of succession.

Only 4 episodes in but I hate the redheaded sister's husband the most.

Big change for the Ferris Bueller dude this episode too. Not the hippy he seemed to be.
