That’s why I plan on burning a waiver spot on him to pair with Winston. The two of them have a nice combined schedule, for those that bought the Winston preseason hype. His FF playoff schedule is glorious.

Have the same in one league, rank them very close, need to decide for sure soon.I have him in over Rodgers right now.

Yeah, that Monday night game against Oakland, Favre passed for 4TDs and 399 yards. But I get the point...this kid had one heck of a debut. Picked him up in a keeper league and really hope he can keep it going.Few folks challenged him and he provided the receipts.
IDK.. still crazy regardless.
Really up and down performance, it looked like he had a bigger playbook early in the game and did well but after the INTs it was back to one-read and go offense again.Daniel Jones completed 23-of-31 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Giants' Week 4 win over the Redskins.
Jones wasn't as polished as he was in his debut last week. The rookie had two bad interceptions and should've had at least one more, but he also wasn't tasked with making a lot of plays since the Giants had a multi-score lead for most of the outing. On the ground, Jones picked up 33 yards on scrambles and got 63 yards and a score from Saquon Barkley backup Wayne Gallman. Jones' rushing ability should keep him in the mix as a quarterback streamer for most of the season, but he will be hosting Minnesota next week. It's best to avoid that matchup.
He has never in his college career played like he did in the pre-season or last week. I still don't believe he's suddenly become that player.Hmm...how are people feeling about this guy now? Growing pains are to be expected, and there was no way he could be expected to turn in a performance like he did last week. But will be be fantasy relevant this year?
Players can't improve? He has never in his college career played like he did in the pre-season or last week. I still don't believe he's suddenly become that player.
Daniel Jones completed 21-of-38 passes for 182 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Giants' Week 5 loss to the Vikings.
You could say "Danny Dimes" reverted back to "Daniel Jones" in this one. The first-round rookie kept leaving his pass-catchers exposed to big hits from the Vikings' secondary, and he easily could've had more than his one interception. Jones also had a few brutal inaccurate passes to Sterling Shepard, who could've had touchdowns on better-thrown balls. Since his first start against the Bucs, Jones has taken multiple steps backward as a thrower and reader of defenses. Of course, Jones can pick up first downs with his legs even when he is struggling as a passer, but these inconsistencies are to be expected in Year 1. Jones will face an impossible test in New England on Thursday Night Football next week.

Daniel Jones completed 15-of-31 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the Giants' 35-14, Week 6 loss to the Patriots.
In what can only be described as a touching tribute to Eli Manning, Jones was a turnover machine in the toughest of spots. Missing his top-three weapons against the league's best defense, Jones was a deer in headlights, making one awful decision after another. He was lucky to escape with only three turnovers. Pick one was a forced throw into too tight of coverage. On two, his arm was hit. For three, he never sensed the safety. "Danny Dimes" now has five touchdowns to six picks and has lost three fumbles. His Week 7 outlook will depend on who of Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram are able to return against the Cardinals. It's a good matchup on paper.
Giants coach Pat Shurmur said the team has no plans to bench Daniel Jones despite his recent struggles.
Danny Dimes has regressed since his epic debut against the Bucs in Week 3, leading some to wonder if the team would consider turning back to declining vet Eli Manning, though Shurmur doesn't think that would be the right move. "I think Daniel is going to learn from everything that is going on," said Shurmur, acknowledging Jones' poor play during the Giants' three-game losing skid. Pulling the rug out from underneath Jones would be a mistake, potentially damaging the rookie's confidence. It would also be a downgrade for the entire offense as the immobile Manning looked completely spent prior to getting benched.

Daniel Jones completed 22-of-35 passes for 223 yards, one touchdown, one interception [and two lost fumbles] in the Giants' 27-21, Week 7 loss to the Cardinals.
Golden Tate summed it up perfectly after the game, "We made them look like the ‘85 Bears." Jones started the game with a truly awful interception where he stared down his receiver before lobbing a pass directly to not one, but two Cardinals defenders. The rookie spent the rest of the day dinking and dunking his way to meaningless yards before finding TE Rhett Ellison for a score. "Danny Dimes" showed up in Week 3, but he's been "Daniel Jones" ever since. Jones will be a QB2 in Detroit next week.
Over the last 5 weeks he's been the exact same guy he was in his NFL.com Combine Scouting Report. Mental clock is really slow, isn't going through progressions quickly when he has those reads. Ball control is terrible right now as he still tends to hold it loose and away from his body at times....
Jones is a rookie, and rookie quarterback struggle. He shows flashes of brilliance, but those can't overcome the things he continues to do wrong.
"I think I'm making progress in some areas," Jones said after the Giants' third straight loss, this time 27-21 to the Cards. "And I still need to improve a lot in others."
Yes he does, because right now he's turning into a turnover machine.
Jones, quite simply, takes far too many chances, trying to throw balls into incredibly tight windows. He's either not seeing the defenders, or just assumes he's good enough to squeeze the ball in. He also seems reluctant to throw the ball away, which leads to him holding it too long. And his offensive line just isn't good enough for him to do that.
And all that has led to this: Six fumbles, five lost, in five games, plus seven interceptions giving him 12 turnovers in all. That too is not surprising for a rookie quarterback. Alarmingly, though, his penchant for turnovers was one of the constant criticisms even the scouts who liked him had before the NFL draft.
Regardless, 12 turnovers in five starts is a pretty significant deal. On Sunday, that was the difference between him and Kyler Murray, the Cardinals rookie quarterback and No. 1 overall pick. Jones looked like the better, more NFL-ready quarterback for most of the game, completing 22 of 35 passes for 223 yards while Murray went 14 of 21 for 104. But Murray didn't turn the ball over. Jones turned it over three times.
And as Tom Coughlin used to point out over and over and over again: Turnovers, more than anything else, make the biggest difference in NFL games.

(Rotoworld) Daniel Jones completed 28-of-41 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns in the Giants' 31-26, Week 8 loss to the Lions.
Daniel Jones completed 26-of-41 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Giants' 37-18, Week 9 loss to the Cowboys Monday night.
Jones ended up leading the Giants with 54 rushing yards but lost two more fumbles, one of which was returned for a touchdown on the final offensive play of the game. The rookie took five sacks and has now fumbled 10 times this year with eight interceptions. Turnovers have been Jones' major downfall, and his late-second quarter pick set up a field goal to give Dallas a lead it would never look back from. Jones has flashed big-play ability, but he's making way too many mistakes and bad decisions. It's a growth period. Jones will catch an easier Week 10 draw against the Jets.

Daniel Jones completed 21-of-36 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns while adding 27 yards on two carries Sunday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to Chicago.
Jones lost 16 yards on his lone sack. That sack proved costly as Khalil Mack stripped him, setting the Bears up with first-and-goal from the Giants' three-yard line. Jones showed nice wheels Sunday, contributing a career-long 26-yard scramble in the losing effort. Though it wasn't a prolific passing day for the rookie, he did mix in a pair of touchdowns—one to rookie tight end Kaden Smith and another to Golden Tate. His 23-yard hook-up with Tate came on fourth-and-18 with 4:10 remaining in the fourth quarter. Danny Dimes has now lost seven straight since winning his first two starts. It won't get any easier for Jones when the Packers visit in Week 13.
Daniel Jones completed 20-of-37 passes for 240 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the Giants' 31-13, Week 13 loss to the Packers.
The interceptions were far from ideal, but Jones did show some poise under pressure in the first half and managed to complete several tough throws to the likes of Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton. The touchdown was a perfectly-thrown ball over Shepard’s shoulder down the left sideline from 18 yards out. Jones has a live arm and can win from the pocket, but there will continue to be growing pains. He’s a tough sell as anything other than a boom-or-bust QB2 ahead of Week 14’s matchup in Philadelphia.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur said Daniel Jones "got his ankle twisted" in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Packers.
Shurmur reaffirmed Jones is "fine" and Eli Manning is "ready" if called upon. Jones is still expected to practice this week and play Monday night against the Eagles. With 11 picks and a 'dimes' worth of lost fumbles in his 11 starts, Jones' ankle injury obviously needs to be monitored since any limitations would make Philly's D/ST a top-end streaming unit for the first round of the fantasy playoffs.

I think its safe to say yes. Rosen was the only top 10 qb i can remember not to start his second year.will he be the starter next year?
I don’t think there’s any question about it. If they draft Jeudy, that could be some powerful offense.will he be the starter next year?
Thanks for the heads up. I imagine most of us have other options but had high hopes at one point in the season.Daniel Jones (ankle) is in a walking boot and is expected to miss Monday night's Week 14 game against the Eagles.
Advice: Eli Manning is expected to get the start, according to coach Pat Shurmur. The Giants have an extra day to get ready for Monday night, but Jones is dealing with a "mid high-ankle sprain" that is expected to cost him at least one game. Jones has mostly been a disaster since replacing Manning at quarterback, fumbling and throwing interceptions at a wild rate, so this gives him a chance to sort of reset while Manning gets his final snaps with the only team he's ever known.

I had picked him up due to his nice playoff schedule to go with Winston, but just picked up Fitzy and will probably drop Jones for depth elsewhere due to this news.
