Why doesn't the Democrat establishment want to move left? (1 Viewer)

Wow we're in total snowflake mode if you think that is bannable. And I like Cav know him IRL. I guarantee he didn't bat an eye over it. Thicker skin people look into it.
I get reported and repremanded for calling a terrible post a disgrace.

Well if that's all you did I would apply the thicker skin rule to that as well. I have never reported anyone for a comment they made on a post. I have reported one guy for posting s link that had nudity in a thread of mine but not only after I asked him to remove it. By the way we solved that amicable. He made a mistake and changed the link. I let the mods know no harm. No action was taken.

Who said ban?

For the millionth time, you have to report something for it to be seen. We see about 1% of the board.

When you say, "why isn't this a suspendable thing?". 99 times out of 100, the answer is "because we haven't seen it and because you didn't report it".

What he said it totally. Being that way to others here is not something we want. But if you ever wonder why someone isn't suspended for something, the 99% answer is "we haven't seen this." Please report things you see that are far over the line. On the flip side, don't cry wolf every 5 minutes if someone looks at you sideways. We assume you're adults here and know the difference.
To be fair this one happens to be part of the 1%, that's probably why he asked.

Polls are worthless.  I keep saying this.  Those numbers are almost entirely meaningless without knowing what questions were asked and who was asked.
Those poll numbers are based off of polls where they asked "do you support every person having healthcare", for example.

When, in those same polls, they ask followup questions that include the costs or  mechanisms involved, support for almost every single one (Green New Deal, M4A, etc.) plummets. Anyone using those polls to push a narrative that "the majority of the country supports far left policies" is being intentionally disingenuous. At best, there isn't enough data for us to know, and at worst, the majority does not support them when they realize someone has to pay for them.

Regardless of how you label the person ("centrist", "neoliberal", whatever), we need someone to beat Trump in the rust belt to get him out. That area of the country is not going to support a self-avowed socialist or a leftist coastal elite. If Bernie or Warren is the nominee, we've got Trump for four more years. It's simple electoral math. Running up the score in California and New England doesn't do us any good.

Of course I'll vote for whoever the Democrats put up over Trump, because I'm neither an idiot, a racist, or a pearl clutching change-o-phobe, but I pray they make the correct choice.

BS. We are the richest nation in the world. If we wanted to prioritize those issues we'd find the money. No one seems to have an issue paying for all these wars, do they? We have money for that. What benefit is that to anyone?

I don't disagree with you. I'm just telling you the facts about polling the public re: M4A and GND.
