Are you questioning Tim? I am shocked Tim has not put two songs by the same artist on the list. It’s a great song, the only question is whether it belongs on list of Ohws
IT’S A TRAP!!!With the loose criteria in place, I think we're about to witness the greatest Rick-Roll ever.
Not a ohwWildfire
Ice Ice Baby
Rico Suave
Eye of the Tiger
Yet it seems like a song you should be an expert on.I used to think Whiter Shade of Pale was an Allman Brothers song.
Probably Derek with a slight chance at one of the largest collaboration of famous singers ever assembledDr. Hook belongs on this list, but probably not at #1.
Yes, probably right. With the loose criteria in place, I think we're about to witness the greatest Rick-Roll ever.
Great song. This one always hits the sweet spot Simple SisterAs far as Procol Harum goes, this is one I always liked.

Just heard this 5 minutes ago4. “Drift Away”- Dobie Gray (1973)

I’ll let Dobie say exactly what I feel about this tune:
Thanks for the joy that you’ve given me
I want you to know I believe in your song
Rhythm and rhyme and harmony
You’ve helped me along
Keeping me strong
Conquistador is way better2. “A Whiter Shade of Pale”- Procol Harum (1967)

I’m glad Don Quixote wrote that this is going to be another Night Ranger, because I messed that up; my one regret in making this list is that I was convinced to remove “Sister Christian.”
As I have pointed out several times, I refused when I started this to stick to the rigid rules for one hit wonders; to me the most important element was this: is the song the only one that most people think of when it comes to this artist? I have no doubts about Sister Christian. I have some doubts about My Sharona. I have no doubts whatsoever about this one. Yes diehard fans of the band and a few others will mention “Conquistador”; most people have no idea what that song is. Almost everyone has heard of this one. And so I think it’s fine.
Once I decided to take this song I knew it would have to be in one of the top 3 slots. How they’re ordered is simply due to personal preference.
Come on, Rock Me is easily their most well known song.Once Bitten, Twice Shy
Yous just given me a wonderful idea - buddy.wikkidpissah said:music to put lipstick on your nipples in the mirror and feel silky nylon in your crevices to....
Very under rated group.Great song. This one always hits the sweet spot Simple Sister
Underappreciated Procal Harum: Long Gone Geek
Just throwing stuff at the wallCome on, Rock Me is easily their most well known song.

My favorite song to play as I venture out on the water:

That one slipped my mind, but that would work. My money is still on the mutton chops.Unless I missed it, American Pie will be number 1, right?
Given that Don McLean has 6 top 40 hits, seems like it has a good chance in a Kim Carnes kind of way.Unless I missed it, American Pie will be number 1, right?
I consider myself a music nerd, but I'm clueless on these sorts of facts. Could not name a second Don McLean song.Given that Don McLean has 6 top 40 hits, seems like it has a good chance in a Kim Carnes kind of way.
I didn't know he had that many top 40 hits, but since it is the only song most remember him for anymore, it fits Tim's description of what a one-hit wonder is.Given that Don McLean has 6 top 40 hits, seems like it has a good chance in a Kim Carnes kind of way.
Solid choice. I like Hope Sandoval’s work on thisMore of a no-hit wonder, but because of its ubiquity, I would have reserved a spot between 90 and 100 for Fade Into You.
I would commit crimes for Hope Sandoval if only she asked.Solid choice. I like Hope Sandoval’s work on this
Fun Fact: Legend has it that the song “Killing Me Softly With His Song” was inspired by someone hearing Don McLean sing. Although there is some dispute.I consider myself a music nerd, but I'm clueless on these sorts of facts. Could not name a second Don McLean song.
what???To quote Rick Pitino when he was the Cs coach
”it sucks and it stinks”
booooo
I’d like to give you a Moe Howard double eye poke.
Was there another band who had a hit with "Eye Of The Tiger" and then didn't get 6 more top-40 hits after that, including two that made the top-5??Wildfire
Ice Ice Baby
Rico Suave
Eye of the Tiger
Does it involve seasons NOT in the Sun?Time for the #1. And it is a traditional one hit wonder by the conventional rules...
Oh FFS, that’s gotta be it. :XUnless I missed it, American Pie will be number 1, right?
yeah, and calling a Procol Harum a OHW is a traveshamockery.Conquistador is way better2. “A Whiter Shade of Pale”- Procol Harum (1967)
