The 'strike' didn't seem to effect Houston.  Looked on the app during morning rush and this afternoon.  Plenty of cars available and similar rates.  Striking in a gig economy is near impossible.

If there was a demonstration at noon, it must have moved downtown or disbanded.  By the time I got to Uber at 2:20PM, there were a lot of police, security guards and media but not many other people.  There was a guy wearing a Tottenham jersey so I gave him a
