Ionic songs from each decade? (1 Viewer)

Free Falling - Tom Petty (1989)

Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson (1990)

Hate to be a nerd here but Carbon doesn’t form ionic bonds  :nerd:

Sorry
Fighting words:

Less Common Bonds with Carbon

However, there are less common cases in which carbon forms other types of chemical bonds. For example, the bond between calcium and carbon in calcium carbide, CaC2, is an ionic bond. Calcium and carbon have different electronegativities from each other.

What do those songs have to do with ionic bonds?

Ionic makes me think chemistry.  Chemistry makes me think Breaking Bad. Which leads me to what I consider the greatest usage of a song in TV history, Baby Blue.

ETA - do not watch if you don’t want a spoiler for the show
