Usage to date. I've used everyone of my 20 guys but with the bye weeks coming it'll get tough.

Lamar (3), Brady (2)

CMC (4), Kerryon (3), Breida (2), Singletary (2), Duke Johnson (1)

Julio (4), Keenan Allen (4), Gordon (3), Beasley (2), Dede (2), MVS (1)

Andrews (3), Kittle (2)

Piniero (1), Gonzalez (3), Siebert (1)

Jets (4), Bengals (1)

Week 6 - cutting down to 5000 teams.  It should be a fairly slow start on Thursday Night:

QB - Brady (1221), Jones (412), Manning (96)

RB - Michel (575), Barkley (215), White (208), Burkhead (68 - questionable), Harris (53), Gallman (15)

WR - Gordon (3992), Edelman (311), Shepard (289), Dorsett (136), Tate (62), Latimer (25), Harry (15)

TE - Engram (955), Watson (102), Gronkowski (92), LaCosse (44)

K - Rosas (338), Gostkowski (226)

D - Patriots (860), Giants (100)

If not for Josh Gordon (owned by 64% of the remaining teams), the cutline would still be at zero after the game.

I think you’ll be fine. Just trim off some other teams with DJ when you advance.

Not sure who's noticed, but Calcomatic results don't match FBG results for this week. FBG has the cutoff at 147.35, Calcomatic has it at 147.25. Pretty sure Calcomatic is wrong.

The discrepancy is the Denver defense and comes down to the last play of the half in the DEN-LAC game. Ekeler fumbled through the end zone, which is a turnover, which makes 3 takeaways for Denver, which gives them 6 points. Calcomatic is only crediting them with 4.

Yep!  We've noticed :)

I will have to review my process to see why that fumble was not credited to the DEN defense.  It's on my to-do list for tonight.
I'm pretty sure I have this fixed should this happen again (a fumble through the endzone for a touchback is a turnover for the defense).

Calcomatic is ready for week 6!

I’m in real trouble this week. Waller on bye with Engram hurt, leaving me only Hooper. That might be ok for my TE score, but 7/10ths of my flexes have come from that group. I have only 3 actual RBs (Jones, Cook, Breida) going this week. Brees is out for me @ QB, leaving me with essentially Jackson (Mariota being my 3rd). I have 1/3 of my PK on bye and the Bills DST on bye, leaving me with Seattle. I don’t know the status of Watkins, D. Jackson, and Dorsett, but that’s potentially 3 WRs out.

Andrews could leave T.E dicey to good luck bud

This is definitely a week of intrigue with a lot of impact injuries to navigate along with the first 4-team bye week.  Like everyone else I will be sweating a bit more.

No Carr, Jacobs, Singletary, Engram and Hauschka for sure and Gordon only popping up with a 1.7

Anyway Brady at least put up a solid number so currently stand at 30 points with up to 17 players to go :boxing:

Late with this but...

Finished 4674th  in week 5 with 164.40.  Score down.  Ranking down.  Trending down.

Week 5 review and thoughts on my team  (won't say as much probably but easiest to cut and paste the template):

QBs - 3 for $32  36.19 average points through 5 weeks

QB - Lamar Jackson - BAL/8 - $12  5542 roosters  (3 times used)
QB - Tom Brady - NE/10 - $11  2363 (2 times used)
QB - Derek Carr - OAK/6 - $9 1374 (0 times used)

So far Carr has been a waste (and will be again this week being on bye).  But Jackson and Brady have been great.

RBs - 5 for $84  38.56 average points from this position through 5 weeks - including 2 flex uses.

RB - James Conner - PIT/7 - $29  685 roosters (used 4 times)
RB - Josh Jacobs - OAK/6 - $20  1849  (used 3 times)
RB - Chris Carson - SEA/11 - $18  5391 (used 4 times)
RB - Duke Johnson - HOU/10 - $9  5246 (used 0 times)
RB - Devin Singletary - BUF/6 - $8  5023 (used 1 time)

After not flexing at all in the first 3 weeks, I've now flexed an RB twice in a row.  Conner, Jacobs and Carson have been just about all of my production.  With Jacobs on bye this week I doubt a flex will be coming from these guys.  Ouch.

WRs - 7 for $78  60.86 average points from this position through 5 weeks - including 5 flex uses.

WR - Keenan Allen - LAC/12 - $25  450 roosters (used 4 times)
WR - Tyler Boyd - CIN/9 - $20  1181 (used 2 times)
WR - Curtis Samuel - CAR/7 - $12  2532 (used 2 times)
WR - A.J. Brown - TEN/11 - $7  324 (used 1 time)
WR - Josh Gordon - NE/10 - $6  7177 (used 3 times)
WR - Terry McLaurin - WAS/10 - $4  413 (used 3 times)
WR - Josh Reynolds - LAR/9 - $4  230 (used 0 times)

Keenan Allen wasn't used this week for the first time - the last such player on my team to go unused in a week.  Unlike the RBs, this possession was a big flex source early in the year but has dropped out of the flex the last 2 weeks.  I've used a variety of these guys which is good but with my injury issues elsewhere a comeback is in order.  With Cooks limited in practice it might be time for Josh Reynolds to finally show up.

TEs - 3 for $35  34.12 average points from this position through 5 weeks - including 3 flex uses.

TE - Evan Engram - NYG/11 - $18  1534 roosters (used 4 times)
TE - Mark Andrews - BAL/8 - $9  3896 (used 4 times)
TE - Mike Gesicki - MIA/5 - $8  110 (used 0 times)

Andrews and Engram have been good all year - Engram's injury hurt.  Gesicki has not been in the mix for the woeful Dolphins enough - not good.

PK - 3 for $10 10.86 average points from this position through 5 weeks

PK - Matt Prater - DET/5 - $4  2066 roosters (used 3 times)
PK - Steve Hauschka - BUF/6 - $3  1582 (used 0 times)
PK - Austin Seibert - CLE/7 - $3  1416 (used 2 times)

Honestly this group could be doing better - Hauschka won't break his goose egg this week as he's on bye.  Survived this week getting only 3 out of this position - but not something that can continue to happen if my team is to continue.

DEF - 3 for $11 10.60 average points from this position through 5 weeks

DEF - Seattle Seahawks - SEA/11 - $5  2550 roosters (used 2 times)
DEF - Cincinnati Bengals - CIN/9 - $3  549 (used 0 times)
DEF - New York Jets - NYJ/4 - $3  2172  (used 3 times)

This position was a disaster this week as the Seahawks hit the board with a measly 4 points.  Like kicker that can't be a regular thing.  The Bengals defense is awful and isn't even generating any points for all the time it spends on the field.

Still have 18 of my 24 players have been used - with exactly 1 unused player at each position:  Carr, Duke, Reynolds, Gesicki, Hauschka, Bengals.  At least they all still have a chance to count.

And with that off we go with week 6

Awards and notable teams of the week.

Strongest Living Team: Last week’s leader, Entry 107906, cleared 200 points again in week 5 and now is averaging 229.47 points per week…which is only good enough for 2nd place. Entry 109548 took the lead by the tiniest margin with an average of 229.48.

Strongest Dead Team: Entry 106112, dead since week 3, is averaging 205.31 points per week, good enough for 204th overall.

Keep Your Day Job Award:  Parrot Head (Entry 110903) had a pretty good week and escaped after a two week run here. The worst team in the contest (not counting 10+ QB gimmick teams) is Entry 105433, averaging a lowly 112.12 points per week.

Safest Team: Entry 103256 has cleared the cutoff by at least 63.7 points every week. This is one of four teams that’s scored over 200 every week. Not surprisingly, each of those teams is in the top 20 in this category.

Just Skating By Award: I looked at this award two different ways this week: (1) the living team whose BEST week cleared the cutoff by the smallest amount, and (2) the living team with the smallest TOTAL clearance (summing up their weekly clearance over the season). Turns out it’s the same team both ways: Entry 112425 has cleared the bar by a total of 14.40 points (nobody else is under 20). This team’s clearances by week are 2.55, 7.30, 3.25 and 1.30. There are four living teams that have yet to clear the cutoff by 10 points.

Steady Eddie Award: Team 111553 is kind of amazing. Here are their scores: 152.95, 153.85, 153.25, 155.50, 154.50. That’s a standard deviation of 1.02, easily the lowest in the contest. Unfortunately, this team is dead because they missed the cutoff by 1.05 points in week 3. The most consistent living team (3rd overall) is MANLYMAN (Entry 108710), with a standard deviation of 3.09.

Missed it by That Much Award: Team 111553 inspired this award: which dead team has come the closest to still being alive? Aaaaand it turns out we’re not really ready for this one. There are 7 teams that died by 0.05 points one week and would otherwise still be alive. I’ll revisit this when/if it gets more interesting.

Icarus Award: Through 4 weeks, Entry 108717 was sitting in 60th place overall (by average points). But they collapsed to 123.30 this week and died. Nothing in particular brought them low (the zero from Mike Evans certainly didn’t help), just mediocre weeks from most of their players.

Notable Teams:

QBs: Last week, two of the 25 teams with 8 or more QBs were alive. This week, Entry 106359 died, leaving only Entry 107204 and their 11 QBs remaining.

RBs: Sugarbears (Entry 100544), the last surviving 12-RB team, is still with us.

WRs: We lost the last 13-WR team this week. Five 12-WR teams remain.

TEs: Two of the three 7-TE teams died this week, leaving only Road Rage (Team 104111).

PKs: The two remaining 7-PK teams both survived this week: Entry 107296 and Entry 112043.

DEFs: Lots of 6-DEF teams still around.

And me, you ask? I’m alive and doing great: I’m in 190th overall.

More to come later...
This is always great - may I humbly suggest a Billy Beane award?  Entry that has survived using the least amound of $ over the course of the whole contest.  (Any perhaps a Billy Bean Jr award for the lowest $ used on average each week)

:)

Normally don't post the ownership stats of Sunday games, but we are kicking it off with an early CAR/TB game.  Here are the players that will be taking the field, at least for now:

I really like seeing the "670" next to CMC....

Been a subscriber for numerous years, only recall one year making it beyond week 9 or 10. Usually enter deeper rosters but ended up with only 19 on my roster but doing good so far. Does history give much of a shot to teams with only 19 players?

RB

Nick Chubb $25

Leonard Fournette $24

Dalvin Cook $24

Chris Carson $18

Matt Breida $9

I really need Godwin to activate God mode and Gay to kick them straight

Im the only one with this combo of RB and it will be my key, need 60 or so to advance

Bell, Fournette, A Jones. Jacobs on bye

After 1pm games

162.6 + (Conner - 4.00/9.60/12.40) + (K Allen/AJ Brown/Reynolds - 4.00/9.60/23.80) + (Prater - 2.00) + (Jets - 9.00)

Looking pretty good - big time games from McLovin, Carson, Samuels, Andrews and the Bengals sheer inability to stop Lamar Jackson on the ground at all should pull me though to week 7.

-QG

Okay so AJ Brown added a whopping 0.3 points to total (beating Tyler Boyd 4.3 to 4.0) so now things are like this...

162.90 + (Conner/Keenan Allen - 4.30/9.60) + (Prater - 2.00)

32.90 above the current cut line so feeling good.

-QG

I'm feeling fairly confident.  Up 31.5 on the cut line with Juju -9.4 left.  Moreso than the score is the fact that I'm at 2224.  Hard to believe that 2776 can jump over me in two games...

I was fighting the cutline all day finally was able to get ahead of it.  Thank you Matty ice and Freeman.  One more week thank goodness this contest is all I have left for this season all the rest of my teams are suckin hind ###.  Really censored ###. ### is such a friendly word.

On to week 7...

QB - Goff (3), Winston (3)

RB - Elliott (6), David Johnson (5), Breida (2), Duke & Singletary (0)

WR - Julio & Fitz (5), Godwin & Lockett (4), Gordon (2)

TE - Andrews (5), Engram (4)

K - Gay (4), Carlson & Seibert (1)

D - Giants & Jets (3)

Week 7 for me as well!

QB - Lamar (4), Brady (1), D Jones (1)

RB - Cook (6), Carson (4), Gore (3), Murray (1 welcome!), Duke (1 welcome!)

WR - Julio (5), Lockett (5), Juju (3), Gordon (3), Deebo (1)

TE - Andrews (5), Waller (5), Howard - still dead money

PK - Gonzalez (3), Gay (3), Carlson - still 0 after the bye.

D/ST - Dallas (3), Arizona (2), Cincinnati (1 welcome!)

So that leaves me with only OJ Howard and Carlson yet to start.  Sure wish I'd have spent Howard's $18 elsewhere.

162 and advancing most likely.  Have MVS and Kerryon going tonight both -8.20 for RB and Flex.

Next week will be real rough with CMC on bye.  (Kerryon, Duke, Breida, Singletary) will be my backs.

I have a feeling Kittle might miss a game with his groin. His snaps were down second half.

Only positive I have going is low owned Julio and Keenan Allen have been having some poor games but that won’t really matter until I advance.
