Slipped my Dak/Cooper stack through the bye week so I’m starting to get interested now. Need Conner to not be seriously hurt. 

I am also one of the 93 Kyler teams above. Not much dead salary but I butchered TE with Howard/Doyle

Who is Howard Doyle?

 
Except for week 2, I haven't come close to missing the cut. I haven't liked this team since then and figured it would be out soon after. Injuries are piling up but the guys continue to score well enough. Not sure how much longer it will last. No chance at all to win it and probably won't make the finals. Bunch of wasted/dead money. Didn't spend much time putting it together, just as I did way back when i was in the top 40.  Was thinking deja vu then but no chance now.

Awards and notable teams of the week.

Strongest Living Team: Well, that’s odd. The number of teams averaging 200 points per week dropped from 64 (4^3) to 27 (3^3) this week. Entry 107906 extended their lead this week despite scoring under 200. Their average is 213.26: nobody else is as high as 207.

Strongest Dead Team: chas23 is still on top here, averaging 200.81 and sitting in 19th place overall, despite dying in week 6. They lead the next-best dead team by over 5 points per week.

Keep Your Day Job Award: Last week’s leader, Entry 105433, had a great week (162.55) and saw their average increase to 113.73. They are the worst team that rostered at least 2 players at every position. Entry 110896 rostered only one defense but otherwise looks like a serious entry, despite averaging only 113.31 points per week.

Safest Team: Black Out (Entry 109376) has cleared the cutoff by at least 41.75 points every week. In second place, and the only other team above 40, is our overall leader, Entry 107906.

Just Skating By Award: Entry 103249 has never cleared the cutoff by more than 18.8 points. Skills Wills (Entry 101128) cleared by 19.8 points one week, but has cleared by a total of only 49.55 points, easily the lowest in the contest (Entry 103249 is at 62). Last week’s leader, Entry 106953, kept up their tradition of skating close to the cutoff line, but this time ended up just on the wrong side, eliminated by 0.4 points.

Steady Eddie Award: Last week’s leader, Fist (Entry 100107), actually saw their standard deviation go down last week, to 4.07. Unfortunately, they’re dead. Entry 108952 is our leader here among living teams, with a standard deviation of 5.15.

Icarus Award: Entry 108317 was averaging over 204 points per week, good for 23rd overall, before plummeting to 132.05 this week and missing the cutoff. Having Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram on bye probably didn’t help.

Would Coulda Shoulda Award: No change from last week: Entry 102283 was eliminated in week 2. Since then, that team has averaged over 192 points per week, good for 86th overall over weeks 3-8. They also topped 200 week 1, when nobody was eliminated. Bummer.

Notable Teams:

QBs:  No change: there are three 6-QB teams still alive (out of 32 originally).

RBs: The last 12-RB team was eliminated last week. Three 11-RB teams remain.

WRs: No change: we have three living 12-WR teams.

TEs: No change: Of five 6-TE teams, two are still alive: MrScamper (Entry 101440) and Drunk with Power (Entry 104883).

PKs: We lost the 7 kicker team last week. Two 5-K teams remain, Entry 110705 and Entry 107656.

DEFs: Two 6-DEF teams still around, Entry 106884 and Entry 110564.

And me, you ask? I’m alive, but this was a tough week: I cleared the cutoff by only 8 points and dropped from 246th to 417th overall.

And now the players:

Eliminated Players: Week 8 was a bloodbath. Three more players have died, as every one of the teams that  rostered them has been eliminated. Happy trails to Drew Lock, Josh Doctson and Jerick McKinnon. We still haven’t lost a player who’s actually scored points for his team.

The Biggest Mistake: Melvin Gordon is down to 1 out of his original 51 owners for an abysmal 2% survival rate. Eric Ebron has actually scored points all but one week and yet his survival rate is at 5.8%: 8 of his original 139 owners are still alive.

The Survivor: The amazing Zach Zenner is the only player with a 50% survival rate. Okay, he was only rostered on 4 teams to begin with, 2 of which are still alive and kicking. Austin Hooper (45.3%), Dalvin Cook (42.2%) and Darren Waller (41.6%) are the only other players over 40%, and they all got there the conventional way: by outplaying their “contracts.”

The Bargain: This week I’ll note D.J. Chark, who cost only $5 and has a 38% survival rate. Daniel Jones has the highest survival rate among QBs (34.6%) and nobody cost less ($4).

The Parasite:  Chris Herndon (27.2% survival rate) is no longer the only player to score zero points this season and yet have an above-average survival rate. Ian Thomas joined him this week (25.1%). The overall survival rate is 24.6% at this point.

The Martyr: Deshaun Watson is still averaging over 30 points per week and yet has a below-average survival rate of 22.6%. The non-QB martyr is still Christian McCaffrey, who’s averaging over 23 points per week, and yet only 20.4% of his owners are still alive.

idk i kinda like this team.  the plan is to survive to final cut then have winston/evans go off.  sutton, samuel and pettis will be under represented in the top 250 id think which will give you some much needed differentiation.  not sure about hooper and jacobs ownership relative to the field but that might help too.  plus you have a good mix of special teams.  i dont think youll be the favorite by any stretch but youve certainly got outs to win it all.

 
Looking good so far today. With Kerryon out for the season, my remaining 4 rb's need to step up. And when Carson is on BYE week 11, the other 3 should have no problem facing some of the worst teams around - Bengals, Dolphins and Cardinals. 

 
Looking pretty safe for this week, already 140 with a bunch of active players with a half to go this afternoon. Bunch of players who have been mostly unused finally coming through, looking at you Singletary and Emmanual Sanders. 

 
34 above the cutline with whatever stafford, mjj, waller get in the 4th qtr fully counting plus some trash at TE and WR still left.  gonna go ahead and put this one in the books.

 
Sitting at 159, cutline around 133. I think I'll probably make it through as I have Lamar Jackson -37.9, & Willie Snead and Mark Andrews at -8.9...

Looks like I’m out, but have just been hanging on the past few weeks. I’ve got an aggregate of 0.70 points from my WRs this week. No Thielen, Calvin Ridley, Dede Westbrook, or Josh Gordon this week. That leaves me with 0.70 from Mecole Hardman, and a goose egg from MVS.

The fat lady hasn’t sung on my entry yet, but them good old boys are drinking whiskey and rye, so...

Exactly five points ahead of the line with DAL -1 and an unlikely Daniel Jones -32,25.

I could use a good defensive game with the Cowboys D scoring above their current average of 5 ppg.

 
Safely onward to week 10... just checked and got eliminated week 11 last year.  So if I can at least make it to 12 this year I'll call it a win... 12 will be tough week with Kelce, Ekeler, and Hardman on bye, but Singletary looks to be stepping up, and hopefully Kittle will have a big week.  Gotta make it through 10 and 11 first of course, but at least I don't have a lot of $ on bye those weeks.

22 points above the cut with Dak (-22.1) and Gallup (-13.9) still to contribute.

Excited to get Succop back this week....then he misses 3 FGs.  Hopefully that was just getting back in the groove and not a harbinger of things to come.
