They won’t.  There’s no way these debates will have anywhere near the entertainment value of those 2016 GOP debates.

 
This first night turned into the kiddie table. Only Warren is polling out side single digits and most are barely registering. No one but her has a real chance or much in the way of policy. Further given the format of 60 second responses and 30 second follow ups with no opening statements hard to believe we'll get much substance either night. I'll pass and just catch the clips.

It's almost like they set it up for her.

 
The Republican response. The main advertisement banner on youtube for today and maybe tomorrow, which can cost up to $1,000,000 per day. It says "Text VOTE to 88022 and Stand with President Trump!" A good data collection strategy. 

And some state and national Republicans at Versailles, the iconic Cuban restaurant in Little Havana,  warning that Democrats would bring socialism to the WH. That's a pitch toward Cubans and Venezuelans in the Miami area.

Which polling says isn't working on younger voters in those groups.

I think they will. If it was the 2nd debate with this group nobody would watch. But since this is the first night I think people tune in. Kind of like the first preseason football game.

Democrats won't impeach, Mueller won't give them anything, & House efforts to prolong Russia investigation will go nowhere. Whether Democratic elites & their media partisans like it or not, it's time to become an actual Opposition party. The primary is a good vehicle for that.

 
I'm fairly certain the only reason Tim Ryan and Swalwell are in this thing is to push anti-Russia consensus.  They've been pretty shameless about it.  

 
60% of democrats think the economy is doing great.   Warren's response "It's doing great only for the top".  Pointless answer
