I think he did it because Democrat city leaders wouldn't do anything at all.
I heard that there were some prominent Democrats actually posting bail for looters.

Trump hasn't ignored any decision made by the Supreme Court..
...but both pissed off the Democrats plenty!
Lincoln by taking them off their plantations...
...and Trump for exposing the new plantation that they've been moved to.
