Trump's Campaign Promises - Fulfilled or Nah? (1 Viewer)

Let's evaluate each in turn starting from most often promised to least.

Promise # 1 - Build a wall and Mexico will pay for it.

Don't see how anyone can review this as anything but an abject failure.  Not only is it no longer a wall, but Trump had two years of a Republican congress and failed to get any funding.  Why does he need funding from Congress you ask when he most clearly said Mexico would pay?

In 2016 the number of unauthorized US crossing dipped to its lowest level in a decade.  Now?  New records are broken every month.

Grade = F

I give him an A+ for this. So far.

I think only a quarter of the people that voted for him believed that a quarter of the stuff would actually happen. The really important stuff that he claimed would happen - the judge appointees and the draining of the administrative state into toothless and sterile entities has by all accounts happened; yet you hear it not in the touting of his accomplishment by his friends, but in the laments of his enemies in the form of unhinged long form journalistic complaints and in lawsuits regarding executive branch decisions.
