League is run through yahoo. I think everybody from last year is in if they want. Otherwise, we'll need a list of alternates to fill spots as available.

LIVE Draft will be at Yahoo on Tuesday October 1st at 9:15pm EASTERN . - Same rules as last year

 

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories:
Goals (G), Assists (A), Points (P), Plus/Minus (+/-), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG), Hits (HIT), Blocks (BLK)

Goaltenders Stat Categories:
Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)

Cost: $30/person

Note: Must have at least 50 goalie starts in the season for their stats to count.

I set the live draft at yahoo for Tuesday at 8:30pm Central time. Hopefully that's good for everyone. I'd be ok pushing it back if people want though.

I believe last year we changed PIM to Hits, at least that is what yahooooooo says.

 
i wish we could change shut outs to something different for goalers.  not enough of them to go around imo.  having everyone in the league with 1 for 1/2 the season seems pointless.

 
I pushed start time back to 9pm Central. Figure the early part is most important so if East coast people need to drop out earlier, that's better than west coast people  possibly missing the start.

 
I will probably be on auto draft.  Usually asleep by 10.  I get up at 5:30am But at least I will be auto drafting from a good position.  Still kick you chode's butts.  Hell, I am barely going to be able to stay up and watch an entire game this year.   :kicksrock:

we could do saves I suppose. I actually like it better, but was worried in a league with 16 teams that some would have trouble keeping pace. I think given all the skater categories we have though, that swapping shutouts for saves would be ok here.

Not a fan of this change. Amount of shots seen has nothing to do with how good a goalie is, it just tells you how bad the defense is in front of him.

I suppose, but facing a lot of shots AND maintaining strong GAA and SV% ratios is more impressive than having those ratios on a smaller amount of shots.

basically, the goal is to have some counting stats (wins, shutouts, saves) balanced by ratios (GAA, SV%) so that you don't overvalue the counting stats AND don't overvalue the ratios to the point where teams can put together a strong enough set of ratio stats and then just punt the position the rest of the year.

Are you talking about adding saves for 5 cats?  Or replacing SO with saves?

Oh, and I like the way you talk about Brasky behind his back here, so I'm fine with whatever.  

 
can we add goaler scoring and hits by goalers?  need to know if i should target cesar maniago, jacques villamure, ed mio and ron low.
