So, Road House comes on the TV and i'm glancing at the intro credits and the 5th name listed is Keith David (not David Keith).  I'm sitting and trying to figure out when Keith David was in this movie.  He was awesome in that Roddy Piper flick, They Live and has been in some of my favorites, including the Thing.  Then I remembered he was a bartender at the DD for like 5 minutes.  "Whiskey's Running Low" apparently his only line.  What in the world happened here and why do I care?  Was he supposed to have a bigger part?  Did they think he was Keith David when they cast him, then wrote him out as the only black character?

Any help is appreciated.
