Walking Boot 7,276 Posted November 8 (edited) Trying something new. I'll give you a list of 16 words or phrases. Your job is to break that list down into exactly 4 groups of exactly 4 words each by identifying the common link between the words in each group. You need to give me both the 4 groups of 4 words, and what each group has in common. There (should) be one and only one way to do this, although there will be red herrings! You can work together in this thread, or go it alone. Please, do not Google the puzzle for answers, let's not spoil it (though you may need to look up some word definitions, that is allowed). Some of you may recognize the lists, please don't give them away for the other solvers. I'll post the first puzzle in the next post For example, given the words: Pi Psi Mouth Source Light Bank Manta Safe X Delta Wallet Lambda Pocket Tau Gamma Bed The correct answer is: 1) Bank, Safe, Wallet, Pocket: places to keep your money 2) Mouth, Source, Delta, Bed: parts of a river 3) Light, Manta, X, Gamma: can be followed by "ray" 4) Pi, Psi, Lambda, Tau: Greek letters Note the red herrings! For example, Delta and Gamma are also Greek letters, but, you won't end up with 4 groups of exactly 4 words each if you put them in the wrong group. The above list is the only correct 4x4 arrangement. You can work together in this thread, or go it alone. Please, do not Google for answers, let's not spoil it. Some of you may recognize the lists, please don't give them away for the other solvers. I'll post the first puzzle in the next post Edited November 8 by Walking Boot Neat Board

Yankee23Fan 8,451 Posted November 8 Ah.... I see what you did. Some can be in more than one. Clever. Forget my Telletubbies Po - Arno - Tiber - Passer are rivers in Italy. Are they in one region? I don't remember. Amethyst - Tinky Winky - Barney - Lavender are things that are purple. Hollywood - Zombie - Cop - La La are all Lands in Movies (La La is what threw me. The Telletubbie is named Laa Laa) Goofy - Dopey - Daffy - Dipsy are all children's characters.
