The NYT needle, which tries to account for WHERE the votes are in, has Biden as a slight favorite in Texas right now.  Presumably areas favorable to Biden aren't reporting as quickly so far.  It's pretty close either way though -- no one's going to run up a big win from the look of things.

That's brutal for Sanders. 538 had Biden's chances at only 19% before Klobuchar dropped out.

I saw TX polls this morning that said Biden +2. CNN now saying Bernie ahead is "expected".

Love Bern but he’s gonna have a hard time beating Biden, the media and all the money that gonna be thrown against him. He’s just not getting the black and female votes.

Considering you have to be 35 and she’s only 30 right now, it’ll put a damper on her chances.

James Carville: Bernie should just drop out right now.

Not a good sign for Sanders--Carville was a big fan before tonight.

I think Sanders was +9 prior to SC.  Then post-SC polls had Biden at +2.  So it sort of depends on which ones you were counting.

Biden pulling a Patriots / ATL Super Bowl comeback. Amazing.

I'm pretty amazed watching this. I was definitely one of the "drop out Joe" people a few weeks ago.

Whoah. Colorado's turnout has risen from 120k in 2016 to over 1M this year after switching from a caucus to a primary.

Ballots by mail instead of standing in a gymnasium for several hours?  This isnt surprising.

Crazy story. Everyone was throwing dirt on him last week. Meanwhile he got in his Camaro and got to work.

Same guy we saw at the debates looking like the worst candidate on the stage.  One Saturday in win in a non-factor state and the establishment leaning on Pete and Amy to bail and all of a sudden Joe is JFK.  I guess Joe could drop out of the remaining debates and ride this wave home.

FWIW, I think Sanders is going to win Texas.  Not by a lot, but it's a big prize.

Looks likely, problem for him is the margin.  He may not net as many out of TX as Biden did in VA alone.

Wish Bernie went bigger tonight in terms of this speech. Should have been outdoors.

Delegates are handed out proportionally,  how is that a big prize?

Good grief I wonder if there were odds on the MA primary and what odds Biden would have brought.

You speak about the people of the country/party as if they have no agency. This is democracy at work tonight and the people look like they are choosing Joe over Bernie. Joe has been painted as "dead" in the media, has little funding to speak of, pathetic ground games in most of these states, and he is winning. That says something, no?

I was concerned Biden might not reach the 15% threshold to get delegates here.
