She's saying what we've all seen since Trump took the nomination.
I remember the social media explosion right after it was clear Trump was going to win. A guy I was college friends with posted "If you voted for Trump, then you're a racist and f#$% you!"
A guy I followed on Twitter that shared a similar hobby tweeted out the "If you voted for Trump, the F$% you, unfollow me." And I did.
A large percentage of the internet Left behaves in this manner. If you don't agree with me, if you don't vote like me, then you're bad. You're a bad human. You have no morals. You're a racist. You're a sexist. You're a homophobe. you're a biggot. And...that's not the case. I just don't agree with you.
But many of the Left insist--agree with me, vote with me, or wear this label. You're made to feel as if you're less of a person or bad because you don't view a certain issue this way. Don't like one part of the ACA? Racist. You don't want black people to have insurance. Think we shouldn't allow late term abortions? You're a sexist and you hate women. And you're the very reason women have been oppressed for hundreds of years.
Rather than just dicussing the issues, it becomes an attack on one's morality. And the left hasn't slowed down. Trump brings out the worst in them.
But MANY pundits, tv personalities, and even voters said this behavior drove them to the polls. And instead of focusing on issues--you're still focused on telling anyone that supports Trump or his policies that they're bad. It didn't work for you in 2016, and it won't work for you in 2020. But keep doing it.
At the end of the day, you can't tell me that Trump spews hate and divides people--and then get on the internet and spew hate and divide people. Then they justify it. If you're a racist, as I've labeled you myself, then you deserve it. And the message is clear: The left can spew hate. They can be divisive. The right can't. That's not love. That's not protecting or supporting minorities. It's politics. That's all it's been. You want to tell people they can't believe something less they be a racist. You make them feel bad for having their own beliefs. Join us or be evil.
And America is just so incredibly sick of it. Most of the Right don't want to waste the energy on the internet. Nothing productive comes out of these conversations. But they'll sure see you at the voting booth in November.
