BREAKING: Broward Health, a public hospital in the midst of the biggest cluster of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state (38), says it has testing kits, but can't test because it doesn't have the re-agent it needs. On backorder. More TK.

I agree.  People are going to be stuck at home not spending money.  I guess this puts more money in the bank so that when the coast is clear they have more money to spend after the fact.

They’ll still be spending money on rent, electricity, etc.

Plus is it 40% or more of American households that can't cover an unexpected $500 bill? That also goes for an unexpected $500 loss of income

There have been countless examples of WH medical and political leadership avoiding direct questions on this for at least 2 weeks now. Birx and Trump totally avoided this question just a couple days ago in their presser.

I dont understand the outrage over this particular statement. I dont think the federal government is really equipped to take over supply of medical equipment.

About the GOP Senate vote delay.... pretty soon they may not be able to congress together to actually vote in person.

I’m seriously doubting McConnell passes anything at this point and if it does, it certainly won’t have bipartisan support.

Bailouts for airlines, cruise industry, oil corporations, and hotels with nothing for the commoners? Typical GOP solutions?

I read somewhere recently that if the November election is postponed/cancelled... Trump only holds the presidency until January 20th. After that date, it belongs to the Speaker of the House. Anyone know the validity to this?

Pence is in the most up or down position. He could be the next president or be the next guy fired.

If true, can we ensure nobody tells Trump?

He can be told to go sit in the VP residence and taken off the reelection ticket.  Same thing.

I saw this as well. But before you get excited that it could fall to Pelosi, she's up for re-election in '20 also. So the question is who would be the Speaker in '21 if there's no election?

All I know is when all of this madness is a thing of the past Futurama needs to reboot with Trump/Pence replacing Nixon/Agnew.

His floor scraping yesterday suggests to me he thinks his competence and generally positive reviews tends to lean on the latter.

Macron, President of France:

Rachel Donadio‏ @RachelDonadio 2m2 minutes ago

Macron:

**Starting tomorrow at noon and for at least 2 weeks**: no meetings outside, no seeing your family or friends on the street or in the park. You can walk to work if you can't work remotely. And exercise, but not socialize outside. #COVID19

At least someone told Trump that every press conference with him and a bunch of other old white guys and one older white woman is bad optics.  Now he's surround by people of every race and gender possible it's like a McDonald's commercial from the 80's.

Actually, he was asked what he would say to scared Americans.  He replied, I don't think they're scared.  They know we're doing a good job.  Not an exact quote but close.

Just jumped into this news conference mid way through but this is the best I’ve ever seen Trump act.  No hyperbole and some pretty straight talk.  Nice to see for once.

I think Trump is doing alright at this presser.  Not shying away from recession questions, trying to keep focus on virus.  Just called the media fair too!

Yep. Not a fan, but he’s been decent so far. The dumb questions from the press aren’t helping much though

For the most part.   He was asked if he still believed this was a misinformation campaign by a foreign government and he replied he didn't know.
