There are still spots available to become an agent. Here's a link to the Reddit post for this opening, which includes links to league info and the certification form to apply: https://www.reddit.com/r/findaleague/comments/f8xx9z/calling_all_agents_for_the_football_league_tfl_a/

CANTON, OHIO -- The Football League (TFL) made waves last fall when it broke ground with its unique league structure, drawing strong and swift interest in the fantasy community. Now, its player agency is looking to do the same.

The dynasty league, which began last August, found immediate success behind its revolutionary scoring system, salary cap replication and general league structure meant to closely and accurately replicate the NFL ownership experience. Ahead of TFL's inaugural free agency period and rookie draft, Commissioner C and TFLPA Executive Director Berman have begun the search process for agents* to represent TFL's full player pool and negotiate with its 32 owners -- bringing even more depth and realism to the league.

"We can't wait to finally bring player representation to the fantasy space," Commissioner C said in a statement Monday. "We believe it'll fundamentally change the way leagues are run."

To that effect, TFL has been building toward this offseason with a fully integrated and comprehensive salary cap infrastructure meant to emulate the finer points of the NFL's. The result was a wildly successful first season that exceeded expectations for the owner experience. League executives believe the agent experience will be just as rewarding, finally completing the league's one-of-a-kind marketplace experience.

"Being an agent is unlike any other opportunity in fantasy, and in many ways it exceeds the ownership experience," Executive Director Berman said. "And it pays better, too."

In short, agents will negotiate contracts on players' behalf and earn cash payouts in the form of "commission," which ensures that agents' interests are aligned with their player's interests. Agents also earn cash payouts based on the existing contracts of signed players and can even negotiate extensions during the season.

Those agents will be responsible for learning the "ins and outs" of NFL contract terms and tactics, as well as building relationships with owners and fellow agents and scouting players for future earning potential. They'll also manage their own marketing "budget" that helps them recruit new players, steal other clients or protect their own.

All told, agents are the lifeblood of the league's offseason -- and TFLPA is looking for qualified candidates immediately.

"No longer are players without a voice in offseason negotiations and contract extensions," Executive Director Berman said. "Team owners won't just be competing with each other; they'll be accountable to the players, too."

Interested agents are directed to fill out a certification form (~20 minutes), which includes a link for reference to the league's "owner's manual" that should contain all the info they'll need. If accepted, certified agents will then be provided with an Agent's Handbook, a link to the league's scoring history and a recruitment form to begin planning their early client base.

Agent fees will likely be between $100 and $160, dependent on how many agents are hired, which will also determine "commission" rates. Like owners, agents will also be provided free access to Pro Football Focus ($200 annual cost), The Athletic ($60) and potentially more subscriptions down the line -- which combines for a greater value than entry fees alone. That doesn't include the contract-based bonuses that all agents will receive for negotiating deals.

"I tell our owners this all the time, and I'll say it to agents, too," Commissioner C said. "'It'd be a waste of money NOT to join.'"

All questions can be directed to thefootballleaguecommish@gmail.com or sent to the Commissioner via DM. All agents will likely be chosen within the next two weeks based on merit, competency and creativity; so take your time with your answers, but don't wait too long!

*Members of The Football League are not actually certified agents, just as team owners are not actual "owners." This is a fictionalized representation of an actual league. All league members, including "agents," manage teams of players whose performances result in points, and all compete for monetary payouts.
