Yup - not to be confused with long time Calgary defenseman Gary Suter.

Was invited to major junior training camp at the same time as Brian (abt 1971-72), but shocked the Red Deer Rustlers by turning down their offer in order to stay home with his girlfriend (later wife of nearly 10 years, before divorce) and work on the family farm.

He was a rushing defenseman who idolized Bobby Orr, and was perhaps the least "Sutter-like" of the Sutters, but all of the brothers will tell you that he was the most skilled, and best skater, of the 7.

Wut? Awesome pull. Great list for the others, too. An anecdote: My Czechoslovakian neighbor when I was a kid helped get the Stasnys situated in North America, if the stories are to be believed. Great man, and great men for defecting in the eye of public pressure that must have been crazy. 

I'll keep it with hockey and go with the Sutter brothers.
