Shark Pool collective mock draft - complete. And any one of us are better than Ryan Pace! (2 Viewers)

With pick 1.26 the Miami Dolphins select Grant Delpit, S, LSU.

Adding Byron Jones and Delpit to this secondary is a strong enhancement.

1.6 Jedrick Wills OT

1.18 Jordan Love, QB

Delpit is a great pick. I was considering making a move for 27 if Delpit was still there.

1.17: Kristian Fulton CB LSU

Big need with Byron Jones leaving via FA, but C.J. Henderson is who I had targeted as an ideal pick.

In the real world, I'd look to make out in a trade-down, but Fulton is certainly worth the investment here.
Passing on McKinney and landing in Philly would hurt....

I think this is correct now unless I missed something.

The Vikings are looking at trading up. Also Anthony Harris is on the block and can be had for a 2nd and 4th if anyone is interested in the best safety in the NFL last year.

At pick 1.30 the Packers select:

AJ Terrell - CB - Clemson

Tramon Williams is getting old, Kevin King has trouble staying healthy and is in a contract year. We need help at WR, DL, OL, LB.  This draft  is deep at WR, so we can afford to wait.

Bluntly, we hoped the two guys picked right before us would fall.  No dice.  In real life, we would try to trade down into the early 2nd round.

Green Bay drafting a CB early? This checks out.

I did consider McKinney, but given their very close talent rating (Fulton), I'll take the CB every time in today's NFL, especially losing Byron Jones & the uncertainty there. That said, I suppose I theoretically could've picked McKinney given proper time to evaluate (like NFL teams).

As far as McKinney going to Philly, taking a player solely to prevent another team from acquiring them is a poor strategy. Besides, they have a much bigger need at WR. Not saying McKinney wasn't a good pick, but if I was going to block the Eagles, it would be at the WR position.

Well the feedback I got from 49ers after selecting Wirfs with pick 13 was that they should have selected a defensive linemen.

So I will fix that here. The 49ers select K'Lavon Chaisson DE LSU.

Had him all teed up for the Chiefs, as they could trade Jones.

I'm not a big Chaisson fan at all, as I think he's super raw, and basically only wins with athleticism. That said, man, San Fran would be the perfect team to mold that into a really good player.

Are you taking offers for Jones?

I'm in discussions with the Titans currently.

Talking to myself makes it easy ;)

Honestly I likely won't trade him here but there's plenty of rumors of the real team doing it.

I watched him for awhile last night.

I can see what your saying but if the player develops technique from coaching the athletic ability is upside.

I see him routinely ranked this high and I was considering him for the Vikings at pick 25. Funky preferred Chaisson over Gross Matos for the Vikings.

I almost went corner instead but I thought this was a high value pick for them,

The 49ers don't have any picks in the 2nd to 4th round picks now though. I think they may move back from pick 31 and get more picks in the real draft. I had no offers.

2.03 Detroit Lions select Jeff Gladney CB from TCU

With Slay gone and going Chase over Okudah in round 1, this is a no brainer pick. Gladney IMO is in the same tier as all the non-Okudah CBs taken so I feel good with the value scooping him here in round 2. He is supposed to be best in man cover and that is exactly what the Lions expect from their corners.
