Sports Futility (3-1-3rd style) (1 Viewer)

As a Detroit sports fan, I've been thinking a lot about sports futility lately. In their most recent seasons, Detroit teams have gone:

Detroit Tigers -            47-114 (worst record in the league)

Detroit Lions  -              3-12-1 (third worst record in the league)

Detroit Pistons -            20-46 (5th worst record in the league)

Detroit Red Wings -     39 points (BY FAR worst in the league)

That record of futility is quite impressive. Are there other cities that have had a similar run of suckiness?

Washington, DC had a 20 year drought between a conference finals appearance from any of the four major sports teams (ended during the Caps run to the Cup a couple of years ago).  There were some plenty lean years across all four in the early to mid 2000s pre-Ovechkin.

DC has done well lately with Caps and Nats. The 'Skins will never be good until they change ownership. Can't remember the Bullets/Wizards ever being really good since I moved down here in 1988 (and that includes when they had Mr. Jordan).
