I'm also old, lol, although maybe less farty.I am an old fart and would need help sharing. Are you offering your services when I am finished?
Would you post them here like you did the QBs or are they just too big?

anything we can do to help?Posting this again to make sure people are aware of the issue and aren't disappointed on Thursday when Calcomatic doesn't work. Yes, being disappointed right now is better than being disappointed on Tuesday.
If you stick it into a Google spreadsheet instead of an Excel one then you can share it. If you want an easy option, it would probably work to just copy it all and paste it in here.I am an old fart and would need help sharing. Yep. This spreadsheet now has ownership info which TheWinz got from the querier.I just copied and pasted. Did it work?If you stick it into a Google spreadsheet instead of an Excel one then you can share it. If you want an easy option, it would probably work to just copy it all and paste it in here.
ZWK, thanks for the assist. I chose to list the current team of players instead of what they were listed on the entry form. It's gonna be weird without calcomatic this year.Yep. This spreadsheet now has ownership info which TheWinz got from the querier.
Yes I'm surprised to see the $2 Bengals are 2nd lowest owned. I have a share.Currently putting ownership numbers into an excel spreadsheet for future years. Shocked to see both $7 D's and the $6 D with higher ownership than any of the $2 D's. Of the 9 D's offered for $2, the the most common (ARI) ranked only 13th. Also, many kickers who lost their jobs still with a decent following. I'm sure most just never went back and changed it, but there are bound to be a few who think they will latch on somewhere else later in the season.
I know, right? I chose the $6 trio of ARI, CIN, and NYG, and only 14 others have them (10 of which have 4 or more D's).Yes I'm surprised to see the $2 Bengals are 2nd lowest owned. I have a share.
I believe I’m one of them.I know, right? I chose the $6 trio of ARI, CIN, and NYG, and only 14 others have them (10 of which have 4 or more D's).
Kelce. He was in every lineup variation from the start until my final entry. Ended with Andrews, Ertz, Cooks. Needed that extra $8 at other spots. What player didn’t make your final roster that you REALLY wanted but didn’t due to BYE or salary cap constraints?
Marquise Brown and Dobbins were my two omissions. Already have Ben, Connor, Claypool, Cobb, Gibson and Snell out week 8. Hope it doesn’t bite me!
Yes I'm surprised to see the $2 Bengals are 2nd lowest owned. I have a share.
You are! We share very few other players - RB's Cohen & Moss, WR Williams, and K GostkowskiI believe I’m one of them.
I have OAK too.
Best back up offa my kicker! You are! We share very few other players - RB's Cohen & Moss, WR Williams, and K Gostkowski
We are, in fact, the only 2 teams with that unique combination of players. You are! We share very few other players - RB's Cohen & Moss, WR Williams, and K Gostkowski
I really like your team. And same as you, I made a last minute switch to Andrews at TE.Late move: My 15-minute-before-deadline move was to drop RB Dobbins and WR Shenault (and move Boswell->Hopkins) in order to add Andrews at TE. Dobbins upside is huge but Andrews has weekly upside too, and a much higher expected floor, and only cost $6 more. Shenault was just a toss of the dice pick with a good bye week, but I sure hope I don't regret missing out on him! Overall was just trying to stick with mantra of not over-investing at RB, which allowed me to pick up a hopefully-stud TE in exchange. I don't think I'm chasing last year's numbers here...
I remembered your post about $2 D's. But I ended up going MIN, SEA, CIN for $9. It looks like I'm the only team with that combo.I know, right? I chose the $6 trio of ARI, CIN, and NYG, and only 14 others have them (10 of which have 4 or more D's).
Thanks for doing this because I was thinking about it. I bet this team is almost a lock for the final 250 if the byes work out.I decided to create a common team, and here is one:
QB - Newton & Roethlisberger - $22
RB - Edwards-Helaire, Jacobs, Conner, Moss, Gibson - $95
WR - Ridley, Thielen, Metcalf, Chark, Lamb, Edwards - $92
TE - Gesicki, Jarwin, Herndon - $28
K - Boswell, Gostkowski, Sloman - $7
D - IND & TEN - $6
I bolded the players on my team.
It sure could, but that TE group (Gesicki, Jarwin, Herndon). Boom or bust for sure. Thanks for doing this because I was thinking about it. I bet this team is almost a lock for the final 250 if the byes work out.
Most are worried about the rest of their team and never think of looking too deep at kickers. I was able to manipulate the google document. I fixed the column widths, that was it. Can everyone change the file? From the ownership numbers, I can calculate that the average team has:
QB: 2.8 for $34 (2019: 2.6 for $34, 2018: 2.9 for $31)
RB: 5.2 for $88 (2019: 5.3 for $83, 2018: 5.4 for $86)
WR: 6.0 for $82 (2019: 5.7 for $82, 2018: 6.4 for $83)
TE: 2.5 for $28 (2019: 2.3 for $30, 2018: 2.5 for $30)
PK: 2.2 for $8 (2019: 2.2 for $10, 2018: 2.3 for $8)
Def: 2.3 for $9 (2019: 2.2 for $12, 2018: 2.3 for $11)
tot: 21.1 for $250 (2019: 20.3 for $250, 2018: 21.8 for $250)
11.7% average ownership for the players on their team (2019: 15.4%, 2018: 13.1%)
Yeah, everyone can edit it. I set it up that way so that you could edit it. If you want to DM me your email address I could give edit rights to you in particular and stop anyone else from editing it. (I also made a second tab which was a copy of the first tab, and which no one can edit except me, in case someone messed up the doc.)I was able to manipulate the google document. May as well let everyone have fun with the file, right? I have my original excel document and will probably add more to it. I will likely do a weekly update as submissions start getting canned from the contest. Then I will whine when I get booted in week 3 and stop caring.Yeah, everyone can edit it. Yeah, it sucks. NFL.COM changed the way they provide real-time data for their site which I was using for Calcomatic. So if I can find a different real time data feed I could get Calcomatic back up an running. Without a free real time data feed we are SOL.I realized I am gonna go nuts without @Steeler calcomatic. How can we get calcomatic back for the season?
nflfastR is the only open source scraper that I'm aware of.Yeah, it sucks. NFL.COM changed the way they provide real-time data for their site which I was using for Calcomatic. Great job guys. My favorite thing to check each year is the thinly owned "studs".Yep. This spreadsheet now has ownership info which TheWinz got from the querier.
I'm not familiar with R (and it looks like the live feed isn't working anyway). Can you determine from the code on GitHub the URL(s) they are using to get the data from NFL.COM? Or in general how they are getting the data?nflfastR is the only open source scraper that I'm aware of.
If you're interested and need any assistance, let me know.
Oops, look like they're live processing didn't work.
I’m pretty shocked by Kamara and Cook to be honest. Most of the top RBs have late byes: McCaffrey 13, Barkley 11, Zeke/Ekeler/CEH 10, Mixon/Chubb/Sanders 9.Great job guys. My favorite thing to check each year is the thinly owned "studs".
Top 10 (and ties) salary at each position with under 500 owners:
QB: Watson, Ryan, Allen, Wentz
RB: Kamara, Cook, Sanders, Drake
WR: Adams, Hill, J Jones, Hopkins, Robinson, Cooper
TE: Engram, Henry
Feel like these are the guys that end up winning the contest. Have two of them and wish I had one or two more, tbh.
Of course the flip side may be that these are the players everyone thinks are over priced. Surprising that none are week 13 byes.
9 of the top 10 last year had Lamar and Andrews. The guys who end up winning will have the highly owned bargains that produced.Great job guys. My favorite thing to check each year is the thinly owned "studs".
