Tonight’s show clearly hitting in play states of Arizona and Ohio.  Then last piece about corona virus from original outbreak in Washington from February.

Congrats to socialism, you control the media, education, social media, etc.. listening to al sharpton about voter suppression is ridiculous...

What Al Sharpton is saying might very well be ridiculous, not sure what he is saying. However, even if it is I don’t see how that makes socialism control all of the things you say it does. Because it doesn’t.

CBS is a corporation. Corporations are people, my friend. People have the right to free speech.

CBS has the right to promote Joe Biden, just like Fox has the right to promote Trump. Let the free market decide.

The perception of media bias is often biased itself. That is, you see what you want to see.

Many people often see opinion pieces by the WSJ (which leans right) or the NYT or Washington Post (which lean left) and it colors their view on the stance of where their actual news journalism lies, despite the fact that these outlets tend to be fact-based only in their reportage.

For me, while NPR leans left, their actual news reporting is (in my mind) very fact based and fair. BBC and Reuters are good sources of unbiased journalism IMO.

I just did but apparently you are missing it?   See that tree in the forest?
Neither of your posts said much of anything .  You had a complaint about Sharpton talking about voter suppression (as there are actual suppression efforts and possibilities out there). That alone isnt bias.
Nothing you said about socialism really made any sense  nor was there any example of that.

So, for those not having watched...its nice of you are clear in what you are even referring to.

My point is you and everyone will only hear one voice going forward....is that ok With you?

Fox News shutting down?

CNBC  just started a new news program.

have more choices than ever for choice of news venue.

  it’ll be ok.

Huh? I hear lots of voices (none in my head, thank God). A little of CBS, a little of Fox, a little of the BBC, etc.

Sure, I might start to get concerned if President Biden calls in to the CBS morning show every single day, and spends all day tweeting about things he saw on CBS, and starts making political decisions based solely on something that someone from CBS told him to do, and if he starts hiring former CBS staffers, and if his kids become CBS talking heads, and if CBS starts promoting conspiracy theories about President Biden's critics.............but I have a fairly high degree of confidence that NONE of those things will happen.

News outlets tend to critically report on the administration/party in power.  That’s the nature of journalism versus infotainment.

Your initial post was part of the problem.  There was no explanation of what you were even referring to on 60 minutes.  Are they not supposed to discuss states that are in play?  Or Corona?  Those are big stories.

You have yet to demonstrate how that show or the media are “all in for the dems”.

Regardless, for profit corporations exhibiting a political bias has nothing to do with socialism.

Never in human history have we had more access to information (and disinformation too unfortunately).   There are plenty of voices to hear.

Presenting factual information makes the current administration look incompetent, so the corporation airing these facts must be socialists.  It couldn’t possibly be that the current administration is incompetent, which is why the facts make them look bad.

EXACTLY this.

It's the same as the people that asked social media networks to crack down on fake news, then got upset about bias when the fake news they were trying to share gets labeled as misleading.

If ESPN puts out power rankings from 2009-2019 and has the Patriots way ahead of the Lions every single year, that doesn't necessarily make ESPN biased against the Lions.  It could just be the Lions were terrible that whole time, which in this case is exactly what happened..

That's no different than extremists (on both sides) claiming that fake news labels are biased against them because they get flagged for sharing misleading information more often, when studies show that extremists share a LOT more misleading/fake news.  Of course it just so happens that our president and his son are extremists themselves which draws this even more into the spotlight.  And that's not to mention that they are essentially the Lions of human beings.

Yeah, really crazy they would have a story about Covid-19 now. Must have an agenda. Can't think of any other reason for it.

The October surge of new COVID-19 cases in the United States has escalated in the past week at a rate that is alarming some experts.

The New York Times reports the daily average of new COVID-19 cases this past week has topped 77,000, a 42 percent increase from the average 2 weeks ago.

That includes the 1-day record of more than 90,000 cases reported on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, nine states reported daily records for new cases.

The Times states that the higher numbers are being driven by a surge in parts of the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. Those increases are being reported in rural areas and small towns as well as in cities such as Chicago and Milwaukee.

On Sunday, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, the former head of the Food and Drug Administration, said the nation is at “a dangerous tipping point.”

Overall, the United States now has more than 9 million confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.

Hospitalizations have surpassed 43,000, which is significantly below the 50,000-plus numbers posted in late July but an increase from the 38,000 reported late last week.

COVID-19 related deaths have now exceeded 229,000.

That includes the 1,004 deaths reported on Thursday.

The viral illness is now the third leading cause of death in the United States in 2020, trailing behind only heart disease and cancer.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the Universal predicts the daily death toll from COVID-19 in the United States could top 2,200 by the middle of January.

Another estimate predicts the United States will exceed 390,000 total deaths by February 1, based on current conditions.

A daily tracking graph from the New York Times shows 38 states where “new cases are higher and staying high.” That’s up from the 33 reported late last week.

There are no states listed where cases are high but declining.

The Times reports there are 9 states where new cases are lower but going up. There were 7 such states last week.

It also notes there are 3 states where cases are lower and staying low. There were 10 states in this category last week.

A weekly tracking graph by Reuters that was updated on Monday reports that there were more than 485,000 new COVID-19 cases recorded this past week, a 24 percent increase from the week before.

It notes there are 44 states where new cases rose this past week. It says 36 states have experienced increases for at least 2 consecutive weeks.

The news agency also reported there were 7.7 million COVID-19 tests performed nationwide last week, an increase of 5 percent from the previous week.

Reuters reports that the rate of positive test results nationwide this past week rose to 6.3 percent from 5.4 percent. The World Health Organization considers a level above 5 percent to be “concerning.”

South Dakota had the highest positivity rates at 40 percent. Idaho was next at 34 percent followed by Wyoming at 29 percent. A total of 14 states have positivity rates above 10 percent.

Where cases are the highest

In terms of percentage, Wisconsin showed the largest increase among states in new confirmed COVID-19 cases. It recorded 33,690 new positive tests this past week, a hike of nearly 100 percent from the previous week, according to Reuters.

Vermont was next with an increase of 97 percent to 136 new cases.

In third was Michigan, which showed an increase of 71 percent with 16,493 new cases.

Alabama was fourth with 11,729 new cases, a jump of 61 percent.

There are concerns about the continued increase of cases in the middle of the country.

In addition to Wisconsin and Michigan, the states of Wyoming, South Dakota, Ohio, Illinois, and North Dakota all recorded increases above 20 percent.

Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska also reported increases.

North Dakota has the highest per capita of cases and deaths of any state. State officials have become so overwhelmed that they have ended almost all contact tracing.

In terms of sheer numbers, Texas still leads the way in new COVID-19 cases, according to Reuters.

Texas reported 41,089 new positive tests, an increase of 15 percent from the previous week.

Wisconsin is now second with its 33,690 new cases, with Illinois right behind at 31,334, a hike of 23 percent.

California is now fourth with 30,659 new cases, an increase of 49 percent.

Florida is fifth overall with 23,616 new cases, a jump of 15 percent.

There are concerns that recent campaign rallies held by President Donald Trump are fueling spikes of COVID-19 cases.

An analysis by CNN of 17 Trump rallies in 13 states reported that 14 of the host counties showed increased cases of COVID-19 a month after the campaign gatherings.

CNN reported that 10 of the counties saw new cases increase at a higher rate than the rest of their state.

Eight of those counties had declining case rates before the rallies.

Two people who attended a Trump rally in North Carolina last week have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Health officials said anyone who attended the October 21 rally should get tested and take necessary precautions.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said a Trump rally held in Lansing on Tuesday was a “recipe for disaster.”

In addition, Vice President Mike Pence continues to hold campaign events despite the fact five members of his staff have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

It's the biggest global health crisis of our lifetime, and somehow if news programs talk about it they are suddenly biased and political. Just because the people you listen to decided it was over in March doesn't mean actual facts have changed. This new spike was predicted by those evil "scientists" months and months ago, you know the people we should all be ignoring according to some.

Your attempt at an analogy is quite literally backwards.

Cuba, Russia, and North Korea would not have allowed their version of "60 Minutes" to air content that was critical of government leadership, and they would not have censored pro-government content on YouTube/Twitter/Facebook/etc.

Perhaps thats is because what they were reporting in was unanimously bad.  But your first two posts didn’t come close to even saying this.

And seems most in this  thread have zero clue what you were saying.  So no...Im not going to accept responsibility of being the problem.

This is the Lions analogy. Trump is a horrible immoral selfish human being so there are going to be more stories about how he is a horrible immoral selfish human being.
