  1. Thanks everyone for your well wishes and your prayers. Even though you’re “just Dad’s weird internet friends”, knowing he’s got support means a lot to all of us. We keep reminding ourselves that every time he has a setback we power through it with the help of his doctors, nurses, family and friends (even the weird internet ones) Thanks again... it is truly appreciated.

  2. Anybody who “wants to run government like a business” has disqualified themselves in my opinion. The two are vastly different and it reveals ignorance and arrogance if you think this way. We have lionized the plutocrats enough in this country.

  3. This crap here is why I’ll never vote for a Republican again. All these people close to him being indicted, all the information that we publically know, and still spewing talking points out for their followers. Watching them dig their feet in during 8 years of Obama simply because they don’t want any good legislation passed while a democrat is in office but whining because this investigation into treason is making it hard to get anything accomplished for trump. Whining because this big important wall which we all need or illegal immigrants will steal our lake houses and rape our kids but did

  5. Ok... I'd like to submit my formal application to be admitted to the FBG BMF Running Club. I've felt plenty included in the community so far but between my 6.6 mile run in 20* weather Saturday and going outside on the truly mean streets of the East Side of Indy today at lunch, I feel ready to humbly request to to from Associate Member to Full Membership and to acquire all the rights and privileges associated therewith. Not sure if I experienced a runners high or if that was just a contact buzz from the fine gentlemen I passed along side the road, but I think I really am hooked again rath

  8. From The Guardian: “After the bombing of a funeral hall in October 2016 that killed 155 people, Barack Obama halted the sale of guided munition technology to Saudi Arabia, on the grounds that improved precision would not save civilian lives if the Saudi-led coalition were not taking care to avoid hitting non-military targets. The sales were reinstated by the Trump administration’s first secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, in March 2017.” Ya, please continue to run interference for Trump by blaming Obama for everything.

  10. No, he was just a lobbyist for war criminals. Way better. It’s unfathomable to me that you get on Obama’s case, but the guy who actually lobbied internationally for Mobutu Sese Seko is a swell guy.

  12. #1 Jane's Addiction - Stop! I was 6 years old, probably doing what most 6 years old do - playing with hot wheels or something comparable. Then all of a sudden I heard this noise from above me. It wasn't like any noise I'd heard before, so I ventured upstairs to investigate. My brothers had a habit of blaring music, so hearing noise up there wasn't unusual. But this certain one grabbed me by the throat. It was that opening riff that initially got my attention, but if you're familiar with the song you know that it never really lets up as it ferociously goes from one part to the next.

  14. Well the Republicans didn't need an investigation to validate not working with Democrats during the Obama years. We have had gridlock long before the Mueller investigation.

  16. I want nothing to do with anyone going for the Executive Branch who wants to “run Washington like a business”. I want nothing to do with anyone who thinks being a business man, successful or not, is preparation alone and qualification for the most powerful position in the world. I am almost equally against career politicians, but I make exceptions if you’re at least climbing the ladder, so to speak. Get your feet wet first, then we’ll think about the top spot as an option

  18. Other than my 2 races (Oct and Dec), I just ran my first long run (10+ miles) since September. With today being one of the last days it won't be frigid (was 25 today with no wind) and nothing planned for the afternoon, it was a perfect day to get out. I've gotten through all my runs this week without any quad or knee pain so it was time to give it a go. What a fantastic run. First of all, I ran it without any music (don't like the feel of the earbuds under the balaclava) and enjoyed every moment of the run. I haven't run with music in a while now and I think I enjoy it more. But con

He made the comment that hoarding it when he was younger and taking advantage of it appreciating over time allowed for him to have a lot more money to give now. I’m not sure about Gates but he certainly stepped it up later in life with his foundation. Bezos is still a relatively young man.

  32. Looks like tonight and tomorrow are going to be treadmill days. 20mph north wind with bone-chilling temps. Tonight is an easy 7 miles, and tomorrow is supposed to be a speed workout. I'm sure I shall have a story about trying to figure out how to do that one on a treadmill. There's a good chance I'll get kicked out of the community center for looking like a dooooooomaaaaas.

  33. Week 4 of not training - 4 1/2 hours running (32 miles), 2 hours lifting, 1 1/2 hours shoveling. The 8 hours of exercise were the highest so far - W1 6.5 hrs, W2 6.25 hrs, W3 7.25 hrs - and actually isn't a whole lot different than peak marathon training, which probably helps explain how I feel right now. No real rest either as all but 7 miles were done in some snow and that run was done on flooded sidewalks in cement shoes. Part of it is the cold I've been battling, but I'm in a bit of a fog right now. But this is probably why I am noting right now that scheduled this week as deload. I c

  35. Women's rumble was a slog until the Lynch stuff but great finish. I thought the were going Charlotte with Becky vs Nia at Mania. Bryan and Styles was great despite the dead crowd. Loved seeing the dragon suplex. DB just slows down his offense and it becomes heelish. Balor vs Brock was close to perfect as a 10 minute match, imo. Willing to sell Brock is the best wrestler in the world. Everyone was standing for it after being silent for the previous match. Men's rumble started fun and got bogged down. I was really hoping Demon Balor could enter somehow. Rollins is a fine choice

  36. The county is so divided right now we can’t anything done. At least we can all agree on this? Your hypothesis assumes that the country was not divided in May 2017 (before Mueller was appointed), or November 2016 (before, during, and immediately after the election) or 2009-2016 (when The Great Divider [©2009 FoxNewsInc.] was president). Your hypothesis also seems to assume that the country would suddenly stop being divided if the Mueller investigation were to end. I don't think that either of those theories are valid. On the other hand, your hypothesis tacitly admits
