  1. My version after the Pride Parade in Knoxville yesterday. This was sort of an accident. I knew Knoxville had a parade but I didn't know when it was. Turns out I realized Friday night it was planned for Saturday morning starting at 10:30. And just by "coincidence", I was planning to be downtown a half mile from the parade route for an appointment at 12:30. And I'd just happened to order this shirt a week ago after I read the article I linked to in the original post. I put quotes around "coincidence" because I think things often happen to me for a reason. So I went. I wore the

  2. Finished my highest weekly mileage ever by running 102 miles last week. Pretty crazy numbers and I know volume really helps make things faster for me. However, as pumped as I was in getting to 100+ miles in the week, I remembered @SFBayDuck does it in a day! 😨

  4. What sets those apart from what we have today is love. Love of people. Everybody's an idiot somehow, most come upon it honestly and pursue it obsessively and fail by it in the end. But we don't fail anymore - we give ourselves participation trophies and begin our victim's journeys because we no longer trust our support systems in a world where the lion's share of love is pointed inward. Fall down and they're all 'well look at you'. Please continue to be an idiot cuz it takes the heat off me. No failure, no funny. No recovery, no redemption. No loss, no love. 9. As the parent of a trans teenager, I applaud you for this, Joe. Well done. To those parents with LGBTQ kids, I only have one word of advice: Love doesn't have an off-switch. If you loved your child before they came out, you should love them equally afterwards. They are still the same person with the same needs and feelings.

Twin Lakes Triathlon Report 700 yd swim / 14 mile bike / 4.5 mile run (more than a sprint) 1:44:46 ...114th of 298, 6th of 11 in AG This is the third year of targeting a June tri as a way to kill time by cross-training during the winter/early spring months, thereby keeping me in good shape while keeping some mileage off the legs until I gear up marathon training again. The race is a smaller suburban race, so the field is not as competitive (=not nearly as many high-end bikes) as some other tris. My bike is a 20-year-old Fuji, so I can do OK here. 12. Just finished US game. Very entertaining. - Loved the way Spain played. Aggressive & strong. Not dirty either until the last 15 minutes or so. Then they started their cheap shots. - Along those lines I think the ref did a really good job all things considered. 2nd PKwas weak, but I've seen way worse -Morgan was getting hit a lot, but at some point you gotta be tougher and realize how the ref is (or isn't) calling the game. I guess her lobbying to the ref finally paid off a bit. Just for Lavell/Rapino, not Morgan. - Mewis is so fun to watch. So active. - Dahlkemp

  14. What would happen if these militias were composed of say minorities threatening to stop ICE from rounding up people? How do you think those threats would be viewed? What about a black legislator saying he was going to kill anyone that tried to apprehend him? I think we all know the answer.

  15. It sucks to know that so many on the Right have such disdain for our fellow countrymen (and women). I take the view that everyone is my brother and sister and want the best for them. Compassion is greater than judgement. I want "wins" to be defined by beneficial to all not just a few. Make no mistake - the stock market at all time highs benefits just a few. Of investors, the top 10% wealthiest own more than 80% of the stock market. Many of us might fall into that category. I think we should feel blessed. Hell, I'm sitting here at work talking up you fine people on a Fantasy Footbal

  16. As an outside observer of all of this, I'm not really bothered by any of it. Racial issues in policing are not unique to South Bend and there's no accepted universal way to fix them that I'm aware of. I don't expect a young mayor to have figured that out and I don't penalize him for not having "done something" about it in more depth. I'm sure he had to deal with entrenched parties on all sides that would have made anything difficult to do. I think he's shown himself in a very good light to be receptive and willing to accept and properly deal with criticism of his work and policies, and honestl

  19. The National Review had an article a few weeks ago that distinguished between the two types of Trump supporters that @Godsbrother and @TobiasFunke are discussing. Link I frequently disagree with The Atlantic’s Adam Serwer, but late last year he wrote a piece that should resonate with any person who’s been in the crosshairs of the MAGA right. A fundamental aspect of truly Trumpist political engagement is the intentional infliction of harm on political opponents. Cruelty is the point of their interactions. That’s the purpose of their communication. I’m making a distinction here b

  21. The Tyreek thread has dropped off the first page..... This is trending on Twitter - interesting read. https://www.scribd.com/document/414275806/ONE-HILLUVA-STORY-HOW-TYREEK-IS-NOT-ONLY-INNOCENT-HE-IS-A-VICTIM Those of us holding the tryeek cards...news and opinions seem to be shifting. I bought Tyreek on the super cheap just 24 hours after the news broke. Maybe this works out for us fantasy owners. At the same time .. the whole situation is messed up. Especially for his son.

The difference between 166-168 isn't much. As mentioned last time, I am seeing a noticeable physique difference and I attribute it to lifting and working out. If I really want to track things I really got to get the body fat scale or do an actual test so I have something to baseline. I've really ramped up my exercise the last month. I did just under 30 mi

  33. Sometimes being a leader means that you have to get knocked around a little and take some criticism, even when it's not really warranted and even when the person doing the criticizing isn't rational or doesn't have all the facts. Buttigieg handled this situation about as well as he could have.
