  1. Five pounds a month is just fine. If it were guaranteed, I would sign up for the next year, no second thought required.

  4. I just got home from a 20.1-mile walk. I'm sitting on my butt at the moment (my third break of the day) before heading down to the beach for more walking. I want to hit 26.2 miles so that I'll have walked a marathon (although marathons don't usually include breaks, I don't think). Some thoughts about the impending 50-mile trek: 1. I want to start by 5 a.m. and go at a fast pace in the beginning. I want to do intensive walking when the midday sun isn't out. 2. I won't bring my Kindle. It slows me down, and anyway I want to focus just on the walking (and breathing, etc). 3. I

  5. My apologies for not checking in a lot the last few days but I've got lots of good news so I hope you'll celebrate all of this with me. -1st and foremost I cannot thank all of you enough for helping get my health back on track in a way that optimizes my talent and allows me to focus on myself and maximize my ability to make things that seemed like just a dream or some pie in the sky stuff in terms of lifestyle and I can now see things starting to really take off. Mental positivity and mental health are a major component to all of this. Day 60: This will soon be Day 61 after tonight

  6. Good to see Mr. Trump taking action because democrat governors won't. He will take a lot of votes from Biden with this move.

  10. we are in a sorry sad state when the police are told to stand down while rioters are allowed to burn down your store or business. as if covid wasn't enough now it's lawlessness allowed by certain mayors & governors in certain states. good grief, what next?

  11. I mean this is really where he is weak isn't it? I find all of the whining and nothing burger attempts by the left to be utterly empty and embarassing. But here is where Trump is truly helpless. He can't lead, he isn't a leader. He is a front runner. Right now patently demonstrates just how far over his head he is when the world looks to him to set a positive message and tone. Instead he digs deeper into the bully tactics and finger pointing. He just comes up small.

  12. That is not true: Joe Bruno @JoeBrunoWSOC9 Governor Cooper says he wants protesters to wear a mask and social distance ETA: He also activated the National Guard to stop any looting. Your post is a bit misleading.

  13. Pretty happy with my May results 784/1085 points. To be honest I should probably add another 100 for stuff I missed tracking. (I can improve this by reducing the bad snacks). Ran 100.25 miles lost 4.9 lb. Hoping for to do better this month and be under 225 by July 4.

  16. My backyard is really small. I'll have to figure out how not to wear down the grass. Maybe I could go to a school track; there are three schools within a few blocks of me. Oh! There is a park not toooo far away that has a circular walkway that's about 1.5 miles around and is relatively flat for here. I wonder if a Karen will call the cops if I'm there for 18 hours.

  20. So I'm not sure exactly what I'm hoping for out of this thread, but here goes. Maybe somebody else has a similar story and will find this helpful. Or maybe it can just be used to promote acceptance. Some of you may have seen me mention my 16-year-old daughter Talia in the past, mostly in the Political Subforum. Most notably here in the Pete Buttigieg thread, where @Sinn Fein managed to get the architect of Pete Buttigieg's campaign to shoot a happy birthday video in an attempt to dispel the conspiracy theory that Buttigieg was just faking being gay. Anyway, in late March, the c

  23. Thank you....we all heard what he said.....which, by the way, did not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, or religion. If you heard this as "kneel on their necks until they die"...that's on you and anyone who heard the same thing.

  24. It was great. I watched it live. I am convinced that CNN and MSNBC didn't air it or any replay of it because there are a lot of lefties in here saying Trump has not addressed the rioting. Sad that MSM keeps half the population in the dark for political reasons on purpose.

  27. I'm not disagreeing with you at all. This could be a pinnacle moment for President Trump...and it still may be. Who knows? But, who is to say that he won't do anything until the Democrat leaders in these cities do something....anything at all? Up to now, they have done absolutely NOTHING.

  28. I am just trying to discuss this with you calmly and decently, and I feel the same from you. I think what I said was really pretty mild. I was just suggesting that the President prepare a great speech to unify the nation, I proposed very little from him. He could do more but I think it would help. This is an odd note you're striking though. These cities are largely black, and yes they happen to be largely Democratic. Here you say they hate Trump? This is in great contrast to the point from just last week about Maga and black voters vs Biden making the awful comment about blacks who vote f

  29. I crashed and burned badly in May, so I'd be up for a non-pushup-related June challenge. Otis's interns are still crunching the numbers, but I think I put on 3 lbs in May, which isn't bad if you knew how poorly I ate and drank all month.

  31. I'm not getting the Deebo love. He's a very good NFL player but doesn't seem like he'll be a high volume WR, especially in that offense and with the team now spending another high draft pick at the position. I love watching him play but I doubt he's more than depth for fantasy.

  32. Finding it hard to be on a program. Still apprehensive about getting back on the Peleton and having wine most nights. I am walking a lot though. 2 long walks with my dog each day and I’m walking 6-7 miles a round playing golf. So staying in decent shape, not gaining and I’m OK with that. Also doing more yoga

  34. He absolutely did. Everybody saw him abdicate responsibility, then complain about the governors not opening states up faster, also weirdly complaining about GA opening too fast, showing once again his inability to stick to a position, even tweeting about "liberating" states who were still rightly under quarantine measures.

  35. I don't have a Camelback. I like traveling light. I plan to generally remain within walking distance* of places that sell water (or maybe beer), so I don't feel like I need to bring my own. *When you're walking 50 miles, pretty much everything is within walking distance.

  36. I'll probably start around 4 a.m. PDT whenever we do this. I can't remember which time zone you're in. Like you I will do a faster pace at the beginning but expect to settle in to only 3 mph. Currently considering just walking in circles in my backyard to avoid the hills (though it has a small incline).
