  1. It's too bad he can't try out all the teams and play for Miami this week, Buffalo next week, and KC the week after. He'd get 3 straight games against the Jets.

  2. I live in a swing state. My top two issues in this election are Hunter Biden’s role in the Ukrainian natural gas industry and section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. I was undecided, but after today’s events, I’m left with no other choice than to cast my ballot for Donald Trump. I imagine there are many other voters out there just like me.

  6. I have always told friends who ask that the country lacked the culture and professional support to enable our enormous pool of soccer playing kids to take the next steps, relative to typical perennial powerhouses; lack of viable pro league, pro media coverage and in-famiy connection and discussion the big three have. People and their money who "run" things in the country on all fronts historically have no connection to the sport and kept their money and influence away. We also have a dearth of kids in poverty looking for the sport as the only way out- soccer kids historically have been the mid

  10. LOVE/HATE #3 120. My Brave Face (Flowers In The Dirt, 1989) Spotify YouTube (Paul #52) This was Paul’s last top 40 hit in the US (reaching #18) until his collaboration with Kanye West in 2014 on my #285 choice, “Only One.” Its coming up right now is good timing after wikkid’s post about producers, as it’s an example of the opposite problem: a fantastic song nearly ruined by over-production. This one comes up on LOVE/HATE DAY because *I* both love and hate it. It's wonderful songwriting in which you can strongly hear the Elvis Costello influence, especially some of the edg

  12. LOVE AND LIGHT #2 118. John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band - Love (John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, 1970) Spotify YouTube (John #24) This was seen as the most commercially viable song on the album, and John was urged to release it as the single, but John opted to release "Mother" instead. I adore how both the intro outro piano parts (played by Phil Spector) start so softly and builds. It's such a gentle sound. John's vocal is likewise tender and sweet, though as the song progresses it gets more fragile and breaks a little. It's a beautiful song, with a feel that reminds me quite a

  19. LOVE AND LIGHT #1 119. The Traveling Wilburys - Heading For The Light (The Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, 1988) Spotify YouTube (George #39) I think this one slipped through the cracks a bit and should have been lower (Binky, you know the drill). I love that George sounds happy for once, and the lyrics are testament to his optimism as he comes to terms with his struggles with his faith and sees himself now heading in the right direction. It's nice and upbeat and a fun listen. But boy, that production is Lynne-y, and the harmonies on the bridges are so bland. You have Roy frea

We're about to enter a golden age for the USMNT IMO. I hope it's just the start of a continuing trend, but even if it's just a period in time, holy #### is it fun to watch.

  22. The tally’s out! 114,996 votes were cast in person today in Harris County. In 2016, just over 100K people voted on the highest turnout day of early vote—the last day of early vote. We’ve blown past that number twice. Yesterday 128K and today almost 115K. Keep it up Harris County! https://twitter.com/LinaHidalgoTX/status/1316560400620675073?s=19 I am sure I speak for the Governor of Texas when I say, it certainly is exhilarating to see such a high turnout of voters.

  34. I'm not seeing that at all. She really connects with a lot of people and one to two minute long canned debated answers could be delivered effectively with her speaking skills. She can be a powerful speaker. For example, the story she tells about her father taking her to see the Washington DC sights as a little girl is fantastic. I think your disagreements with her politics might be excessively influencing your opinion of her as a politician.

Each respondent is screened for factors that increase or decrease their chance of voting -- whether they voted in 2016; whether they consider themselves a "Likely Voter"; whether they have a college education; etc. Someone who answered "Yes" to all of those questions would be put into the "High Turnout" category.

Later you lay down a straight and he lays down a flush and he says he won again. You protest again and he says but you said before a flush beats a straight. Why are you so angry?
