  1. Good morning. Value/dividend picks today for those seeking current income, and some long term moderate growth. These stocks are highly defensive. MDU EXC VZ GIS GSK PFE LMT These are not sexy in today's GME/AMC/SPAC/Bitcoin frenzy/roulette wheel casino market we see right now LOL. These are real stocks, with real earnings, and real strong and growing dividends. Buy them with the utmost confidence for long term compounding and a defensive sleeve for your portfolio. Take care folks.

  3. I should probably wait until morning to be sure, but I think I might have had a breakthrough today. Typically after higher effort workouts since the accident I notice my balky left ankle isn't happy that night then the next morning involves a 30-90 minute limp with a rather ugly start to that day's run (it calms down once I'm moving). I've been noticing subtle improvements over the last month, but nothing like tonight. I don't feel anything at all. Here's hoping for the same in about 8 1/2 hours...

  9. Boring old People's +4% today. Looking forward to the Feb. 15th pay date on that juicy 5.09% dividend yield. Should cover the Feb. 14th meal for me and Mrs: Korean takeout with a nice bottle of Malbac for her and a six pack of pFriem IPA for me.

  10. Because it's a naked bad faith grab and deserves to be pointed out that when you're begging for sources, you're just looking to give somebody a hard time. It's not for edification nor for understanding. It's to take issue with every little thing somebody says. That's the modus operandi in these threads and when they get sidetracked by your demands for links. You've now proven you're obsessed with this tactic by taking out the thread and calling asking for links just dandy when all you want is to give people a hard time. People don't like that.

  11. When the market correction finally does happen and I'm complaining about how I wish I'd freed up more cash, someone just remind of the dozen or so times where I was sitting around thinking to myself "wow I'm glad I'm almost fully invested right now" when my account was up 5%+ in a single day.

  12. “Imagine buying a stock at 50x it’s evaluation for $350 a share and believing that the hedge funds ####ed you over because you didn’t sell it when it hit $450 in an hour. Then having the balls to be shocked that it dropped 90% in a few days and still thinking it’ll go back up. Get out now while you can.” that post is not getting upvoted.

  13. Are you suggesting they are disingenuous? "Disingenuous" isn't the right word for it. Both parties are disingenuous (insincere); heck, pretty much every politician is disingenuous to a certain degree. But what Republicans are doing right now -- with Taylor Greene, with the January 6 attack, with the stolen election lie -- goes beyond insincerity. "Gaslighting" might be a better word for it -- i.e., a form of psychological abuse where a person or group tries to make someone question reality. But gaslighting is just one part of the playbook. What we've seen in the Trump era is a f

  14. No....that 10% is not a missed opportunity at all. Having some fixed income in your portfolio is always advised. Whether that is bonds or even cold hard cash for a rainy day. Everything really depends on your age too and time horizon. There are some area’s I love in fixed income like emerging market debt, intermediate munis, GNMA (Ginnie Maes). So it is not bad to have fixed income. For my more conservative types my current growth and income allocation is sitting at 65-35 stocks to bonds. Nothing wrong with this allocation. It will most of the time (not every time) limit that

  17. Not exactly. He's said several times he's in it for the long haul. But he suggested anybody who got in when he said to do so sell half their investment because it had doubled up. Which you'll find listed as 1.1 in Todem's playbook. He's a firm believer in getting your basis out when you reach a double on any/all plays, then putting that money to work elsewhere. Additionally, expect some volatility, potential pullbacks, etc.

  26. had my only little breakthrough today... My wife reminded me I have somewhere to be this evening so the normal afternoon run was out. Was thinking of doing a lunch run but then saw the weather report and icy ran is supposed to start sometime about lunch +/-. Thought about going in the morning before bed but usually that thought ends up sounding terrible when I wake up. But, I got up and ran 10k this morning so there! Other option was to run tomorrow, but I really like having an easy day with just taking the dog for a walk on Fridays before doing a longer run on Saturday. weather: 29F/-1.6

  30. How good at golf are you? How good are you wanting to be? A laser range finder is going to be the most accurate, but if you don't know you distances down to 2 yards or so, it doesn't matter. If you're a weekend golfer? Just download one of the hundred GPS apps that are out there for $5 or less and call it good. Those GPS apps will get you within 5 yards, so unless you need it to be more accurate than that? Don't waste your money.

I have been exercising quite often, sometimes I miss a cycle ride here or there but I play Tennis at least an avg of 60 Min a day when you add it all up over 4 visits per week. -They built a new clubhouse they stock full of whatever the brew crew and I request for when we are done playing tennis, we sit outside on the "rooftop" area and we almost single handedly keep the place in business, this place they just built is gorgeous and it feels like we are the only ones that take advantage of it becaus

  42. #17 - Echo & The Bunnymen - No Dark Things (1981) So this one was really tough for me. I badly wanted to include "The Killing Moon" - probably in the top 5 - but it's just too big and too polished and too perfect. By 1984, Echo & The Bunnymen had, like U2, left post-punk in the dust, and I couldn't include their best song anymore than I could include U2's "Bad." I'm probably wrong, but I went with my favorite track off their second album instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00eef8XDjlk

This is the only event we are not officially signed up for but my coach is quite certain it will be a go. S

  44. Didn't even make it to the next paragraph. Here's a tip. No one here views you are the source expert. If you don't like someone's source show some restraint and not reply instead of turning the discussion into sources. Most people that do that do so because they can't refute the points made in the article.
