  1. I will make a wager. If this stock hits $420.69 before this earnings call on March 31st, I will pass out 100 FBG subscriptions to the gents in the stock thread.

  3. YOLO and I have had such a wonderful life at that. Today I go all-in with GME. First let me say that this is not sound financial advice and I am not a cat. Don't do what I do with money you can't lose. It's reckless at best and could implode on me in a big way. I think there is a real chance (above 15%) that GME could get caught in a gamma squeeze. It tried to happen yesterday when the stock showed massive support at 125 which gave it fuel to push to 150. Breaking 150 triggers so many call options that once it broke through it was knocking on the 180s. Fuel stops get triggered

  4. Aside from the awareness I hope this thread brought about, it also should show everyone that we aren't alone with this stuff. And it doesn't mean we aren't good parents when our kids are going through these issues. It's heartbreaking reading through some of these posts, but there's some comfort as well to see that we aren't failing them just because they go through this. I wanted to add another part that I think plays a part, even moreso for us as parents. We hear or read stories or see things on Facebook, or whatever it might be about kids that accomplish these amazing things. And I kno

  12. 74. The Rolling Stones “Hang Fire” (from Tattoo You) https://youtu.be/3xbtlW16Gts Tattoo You was, IMO, the last really good Stones album- not great by any means, but still really good with several memorable songs. They’ve released several albums in the years since 1981 and they’re all basically crap, sorry to say. This is one of those memorable songs. Supposedly the lyrics have some kind of social importance but I don’t pay a lot of attention to those; in fact for years I thought thy were singing “Hang five!” Mick Jagger is very amusing in the video (as usual).

  15. Jesus I love this place. Miryam texted at 1pm to come to El Ancla for Chifrito. They serve it on Thursdays and Sundas and apparently it sells out. Told her we couldn't make it till 4:30. She says she'll have them hold us two. She sends some beach pics and stuff. We roll up at 4:30 and she's still there, clearly with a nice buzz. Sitting with a couple cute chicas. Chat for a bit and then go sit down. Beautiful spot and the Chifrito was incredible. She came over and chatted for a bit then back to her table, We had a few more drinks then left around 7 and she was still there

  19. Accepted to his 2nd choice! With an even better aid package. I'm actually in tears here...I can't imagine what you guys are going through with college. This school has taken a lot of heat in the last year for being overly woke. Families have been bailing, so they might feel the night to restock. ETA...waiting on 1a.

She has had trouble completing tasks most of her life and it is now coupled with what seems like depression and most certainly OCD behaviors. I have OCD and have medicated my entire adult life so I am sad its my hereditary fault but also happy that I can empathize and help more than my parents ever did. The heartbreaker is as of late she covers her ears when she's in the room with me, because I make some sound with my mouth she says (??). So yeah my angel can hardl

  29. Round 215: 60s on 6 On the Way Home -- Buffalo Springfield Hitting #82, this was the highest-charting song in the '60s written by Neil Young. Mr. Soul was a B-side. The Loner, Burned and an edited version of Down by the River didn't chart. Cinnamon Girl didn't chart until 1970. Expecting to Fly and Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing charted even lower than this. It may also be the most "60s" sounding of Neil's '60s songs, with a peppy arrangement adorned with horns and strings and a lead vocal by Richie Furay, whose voice was more suited for commercial radio than Neil's. 30. 19th Century Rd 215: Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture by Tchaikovsky It’s 19 minutes but the romantic period is full of rather lengthy pieces. I don’t think Pyotr got chosen for the Symphony Hall list and he certainly deserves a mention among the all time great composers. This piece has such incredible themes of romance, conflict and violence, capturing the play quite well. @Pip's Invitation link to playlist

My Half Ironman in May was moved and I was able to get a voucher from Ironman to use within the next 4 years. And since pools here have been closed since October I was able to get a deferral to next year on my June Ironman. Only races on the calendar right now are the Transcontinental (4,000km cycling, July) and Monumental in November. 36. Honestly I think people throw around the term "gamma squeeze" way too loosely now. The first gamma squeeze on the first run-up happened because everyone was caught offguard to the extent that literally EVERY SINGLE call option for GME was MASSIVELY in the money. Like I believe that week the highest call option written was $60 and GME closed Friday at over $120. This is nothing like that. This reminds more of an even lesser version of about two weeks ago when everyone was sure $320 was a massive gamma squeeze. Everyone yelled about how $320 had to be defended, how the stock was goi

  39. Amash obviously isn't talking about abolishing laws against murder, bank robbery, fraud, etc. Those things are all against the law for good reason. Specifically, if I slug somebody in the jaw, I'm harming them (although probably not very much). And just as importantly, I know I'm harming them and that what I'm doing is wrong -- all of us have a built-in moral intuition that tells us that we shouldn't go around punching people. Those are good laws. All of us who are libertarians, as opposed to anarchists, think that laws like that are great and the state should enforce them. We have a

  42. Ok, I've been out for a bit. Just caught up on 3 pages of pure silliness. Just to clarify; 1. MJ > Lebron > everyone else. Every single metric we have to compare across eras says so. 2. Kobe had only one 1 MVP, was an inefficient volume scorer, played selective defense and wasn't as good as Duncan. The posthumous hype is a little out of proportion. He is at the back end of the top 12 all-timers, and putting him top 5 is silly. 3. Simmons > Middleton and deserves to be an All-Star. His defense is Kawhi-like and he finishes in the lane as well as anyone in the
