    Sleeper Defenses

New Orleans, Carolina, Denver, Dallas, Buffalo(let me explain) New Orleans- Last season, their upgraded D is what ultimately got them to the Super Bowl, and a win there. Expect them to continue last season's great play Finish is traditional scoring leagues- 4th in fantasy points Carolina- a...

Lane Kiffin is still a tool.....

Agreed. He is a tool. Really, the only positive thing he's done for football is give Montario Hardesty a year of Pro-style offense to better prepare him for the NFL. Unfortunately, I doubt that was his intent, and so the tool label sticks

Would you read into AJ Smith's quote here?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you in theory, but your answers are a wee bit off. Tony Romo won a playoff game last season. Rivers still has no super bowl wins

Are We All Dead Wrong on Spiller?

I'm really high on Spiller. I don't think the Bills would have ignored more glaring needs at OT, QB, WR and OLB if they didn't expect Spiller to be THE guy early in his career. I see training camp for the Bills as two separate battles: Spiller vs. Jackson for the bulk of the carries, and the...

    2nd and 3rd round targets

Matthews hardly qualifies as your average rookie. He's basically the second coming of LT. He'll get at least 250 carries, almost all of the goal line work(Sporles won't get it done there), and in the Chargers offense, the RB is always dangerous. Hell, LT still managed to score 12 TD's last...

if you were an NFL scout this CFB season..

I like Locker and Luck, but Mallet is garnering a lot of buzz. After transferring to Arkansas from Michigan, Mallet threw for over 3,600 yard last season, along with 30 TDs (and 2 more rushing). He's 6'7'', and if he can increase his 55.8% completion percentage, Mallet will fly up NFL draft...

Clinton Portis -- 2010 and beyond

I think Portis will be great this season. He's completely bought into Shanahan's system, and accepted his new coach's conditioning challenge by showing up 13lbs lighter than last season's 230. The Redskin's have already stated that they are banking on Portis's return to stardom this season...

Who would you draft out of these backs?

I really like Benson, especially now that a suspension is off the table. He's on a well balanced offense, and the addition of T.O. will further limit defenses loading the box against him. Wells is a close second, but with Leinart behind center, there's no guarantee that the Cardinals' offense...
