The Trump Years- Every day something more shocking than the last!

This is my big fear. If he blatantly disputes obvious and trivial facts like inauguration attendance, what happens when the first bad unemployment report comes in? Or election results in 2020.

Official Donald Trump for President thread

I almost never post here any more, but wanted to reply to this one. Because this is a fantastic opportunity for Congress to get its act together and try to reign in executive power. I'm not a constitutional scholar by any means, so don't really know how much they can do in a broad sense, but...

    Home-owners...What are your current projects?

Yes, but I didn't cut those! Probably get a professional to install. Need to decide on a hood first, looks like there are about 10000 manufacturers. It needs to be thin to fit under cabinets (6 in) and still have decent clearance above stove.

    Home-owners...What are your current projects?

After about four years of suffering with a range hood that recirculates air, and essentially does nothing about cooking odors, we're going to replace for one that vents properly to outside.Don't think I'm going to trust myself with cutting a hole in the wall/siding, likely go with professional...

    [icon]'s whiskey flipping thread

Tried the Crown Royal Northern Harvest the other day. Got some ridiculous reviews (https://www.crownroyal.com/press/crown-royal-northern-harvest-rye-world-whisky-year-2016/) Not sure it lives up to the hype, I definitely enjoyed it, hard to beat for the price if you like rye.

    I really like Elizabeth Warren

I'm not sure why. It seems quite likely that Warren is supportive of trade in general. But the TPP is not really about trade. It's not entirely clear, because it's been quite secretive, but it seems to primarily be a treaty about intellectual property and dispute mechanisms. See John Oliver's...

Mad Cow's Build a Killer Gaming Rig on a Budget Thread

Anyone ever built mitx form factor recommend it? I'm not exactly a surgeon and concerned I'm going to have a lot of fat finger frustration putting something small together, but would like something I can easily move between two locations.

    Sleep Training an Infant

Was going to say the same thing. Five months can be tricky, they need more calories and might not quite be ready for solids, but will make the jump soon. It'll probably get better once he gets onto cereal or baby food. White noise source in the room can help keep the little one asleep longer...

    Sleep Training an Infant

 Learn it and love it. At 1.5 weeks he should be either sleeping or eating pretty much all the time anyways. Also good is white noise (just shushing in the ear was enough for us both times). It gets better. Hated the newborn stage.

Secrets Maroma / Iberostar Grand? Riviera Maya...

Wife and I had an awesome stay at the Iberostar Grand a few years ago. The resort is part of a complex with 3-4 other Iberostar properties (paraiso maya?, some others), but the Grand is the only adults only zone. You can wander to the other resorts if you want to, but only Grand guests get to...

Looking for advice from a Dentist

Thirty odd years ago when I was a kid I lost my two front, top teeth. They replaced them with crowns. About six months ago I got a bad pain in the gums way up almost under my nose. Went to a dentist, she tells me the root canal has failed, gives me antibiotics and sends me to see an...

    Unemployment lowest since 2008

But it's not just one isolated case for one specific individual. This happens all the time, little guy goes up against a big guy in court with at least a semblance of a reasonable case and loses. The civil court system is already skewed in favor of the bigger guy who can afford the best...

    Unemployment lowest since 2008

And forcing you to pay PGEs legal costs for the suit you lost would have made things better?
