I just can't trust Hopkins, the injury is obviously a concern, but so is the fact that he didn't run a single pattern with Keenum in practice this week. Love the match up, but the risk is high.
Watching Schiano's presser right now, he's non-committal on Jackson's status right now. He defined him as "limited" today, doing some work inside with trainers and some work outside with the team. He'll "give it a go" sometime between now and Sunday and it will be up to Vincent. Vague to say...
Yeah, it seems pretty obvious, but there's a part of me that thinks Steve Smith might be safer this week than Julio Jones. But it's also the superstitious part of me that buys into the Home / Away splits for Julio ... not exactly rational thinking I know.
It is still worth noting that Morton Muffley has touched on a valid point here (kudos); that many probably overlooked Smith as a potential playoff helper. He had match ups largely in his favor the final 4 weeks of the year, and if you listen to the Podcast I linked to earlier, Cockcroft had...
First brought to my attention roughly 3 weeks ago by Tristan Cockcroft at roughly the 45 minute mark of this Podcast: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=8655659I actually did trade for Smith two days prior to hearing that and still can't bring myself to play him over AJ Green, Julio Jones...
Can't rule out the possibility that as the play progresses the defense may also commit a penalty (Pass Interference, Hands to the Face, Illegal Contact, Face Mask, Horse Collar, Roughing the Passer, ETC ETC) thus offsetting the original holding penalty that you're suggesting could render the...
This begs the question of how effective can Sammy Morris be if Jones is out? Can you trust him in the championship to put up at least a respectable stat line? I'm sure more than a few are in the boat I'm in, having lost Fred Jackson, Jahvid Best & Demarco Murray ... the waiver wire looks...
I own Cam & Rivers, and last week I considered Rivers a "maybe" because of his match up, and in the end they were one tenth of a point difference in scoring for my league. This week however, with Baltimore coming to town, a patchwork offensive line in San Diego, and the type of season...
Hey wait, I'm in a 12 team Yahoo league and Moore was a free agent before kick off last night ... hmmmmmmm ... I wonder if ....
Yup ... scooped him!
Sometimes you don't know unless you try ... before 11 other people do! :boxing:
Matthew Berry's wife delivers twins ... and surface area of shiny forehead in the home quadrupled. In three weeks they'll have more hair than Mr Roto does though I'm sure!
In all seriousness, congrats to the Berry family! (They should get the twins a guest spot on The League season finale...
I certainly hope this is the week where he turns it around and gets the ship going in the right direction, to somehow justify the third round pick I used on him. Luckily I backed him up with Cam Newton, and that's who I will roll this week, but hope that Rivers gets his mojo back in KC before...
