In football, I agree with this. In baseball, the Red Sox in 2004 won eight games in a row after being down 0-3 and their final three outs in the ALCS, beating two 100-win teams in the process. The White Sox also won 8 straight games in 2005.

I don't think that this is true. The Patriots had an eight game winning streak going into the Super Bowl that year. I do consider that SB to be a greater upset than this one would be, but you don't seem to be giving the Pats too much credit for how well they were playing at the time.

Considering that the place was sold out from 1994 (when Kraft bought the team and kept it New England) to 2001 (when it closed), there were a lot of fans freezing their tails off.Think about it - that is eight years, a pretty decent amount of time. When James Ortwein owned the team, he made no secret of his desire to move it to St. Louis. Thankfully, Bob Kraft stepped in and kept it where it belongs. How can anyone expect a team's fans to support a team when it is about to be moved?

The amazing thing about it is that the coach would be talking smack to opposing players. No wonder the Chargers are so undisciplined and never live up to their potential.
