Found this ridiculous post comparing fantasy football to having kids.
I'm a dad myself. This ain't wrong:

Yeah I did that, but my draft is tonite and as the Apps forum is a bit of a ghost town, not counting on a response in time. The .5 vs. the QB thing was mostly a joke; they're not related because one is objective (relatively) and one is subjective, but the rankings I finally use will have some...
Okay, I decided to ditch the projections dom and just generate my cheat sheet via the DD,without importing the projections. That worked.
Of course that doesn't solve my "do I take a QB early dilemma" but oh well!
Thanks!
Actually, I am a subscriber, but when I try to generate a cheat sheet in the Projections Domninator, with all the correct settins (4pt passing, .5ppr, 1QB/2RB/2WR/1Flex, etc.) it keeps listing QBs as the top 5-7 options. And that ain't right! Can't figure out how to get it to work right...
So...
I'm in a .5 PPR league. As such, finding rankings that apply can be a bit difficult. Most are either full PPR or no PPR at all.
What rankings make the most sense to follow for a half-point league? The ones based on full PPR? Or the ones based on no-PPR?
Last year I went in without any firm strategy but when Rodgers fell to me in the 2nd I decided to go with this one. I'm likely going the same way this year - targeting value but shifting on the fly if I see things falling into place. But I've been playing with most of these guys for more than 10...
PinkydaPimp: This ain't anyone's first rodeo - I'm well past the point of letting pre-draft strategy dictate my in-draft reactions. But it can be helpful to enter with a potential strategy in mind.
We Tigers: Point taken, but same goes. Obviously I don't expect the same output every week, but...
I posted this in another thread but thought it made sense here. I draft in the 12 spot but this strategy fits any late rounder:
Heading into this year's draft, even with McFadden stashed as my keeper, I found myself going back to the typical RB/WR heavy strategy, and grabbing a QB late. But now...
Last year, I decided to screw the typical RB/WR heavy approach to the draft. I picked 7th in a 12-team league (4pt pass TDs, .5ppr, 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1TE, 1 FLEX) and I decided instead to grab the best guy I could at each position. I felt I could afford to wait on RB because I was keeping Shonn...
This is a great thread! Though I am at pick 12 in a 12-team league with .5PPR, 4pt passing TDs, it's covering a lot of the same ground I agonize over on a daily basis.
My wrinkle is that I am keeping McFadden for a 10th, which makes passing on an RB at 12/13 a little more palatable, especially...
