I just picked him up. Scoring in the league has substantial bonuses starting at 50 yards passing and rushing for WRs. I'm pretty weak at WR, so if he gets a decent number of snaps he might be worth plugging in. Not even considering starting him this week though.

pretty sure they've been handling nfl.com for a few years (although the nfl recently announced that they're dumping them). i know some of the guys that started commissioner.com, which was bought by sportsline. they're all gone now, which is the real reason for sportsline's decline imo.

how about a substitution limit instead? require the players to be in better aerobic shape, cut down on specialists, etc.

Sure, I agree it sounds like he's going to try. But he's not the first and it has never been successful. Dayne is not a power back, despite his size.

Well, if the situation was the same (i.e., he wasn't a little banged up before the season even starts, and TJ Duckett wasn't in the picture), then sure. But the difference is more than just missing 1 game.
